We are ported from 2pm till 10pm on Norwegianstar in September. Can anyone who has been before advise what time before theystarted giving tender tickets out?

so we are back!

 

'Easy Walk Off' was NOT given as an option on the NCL disembarkation document (although that is a whole other story because our cabin attendant never left us one and Guest Services could only find one in French for me!), so I asked Guest Services about it.

 

She told me that officially it is not allowed by Venice Port Authority, she then went on to say that no one can stop you doing it though so it is up to you but you do so at your own risk - in practice I saw many people doing so and didnt seem like a big deal to me.

 

In the end, we actually did the standard disembark by taking one of the colour coded luggage tags as we were free to choose so picked the early slot (I noticed that the earliest and latest time slots were the ones that were taken first).

What is the earliest colour coded tag you could get with NCL? And where/when do you choose?

this seems to be specific to Venice that you cant carry bags off with you[unlessyou are travelling so light it is small enough to be hand luggage]

I wouldn’t do before noon. You need to be there three hours ahead, it can be a zoo especially with multiple ships. Better yet stay a few days in Venice, it is so worth it.

Last time we switched our flights to later ones based on advice here and were glad we did.

We are already staying in Venice a few days prior to the cruise. We don't need that much time there. We are only flying to Malta and can pre check in online before getting to the airport as well.

I’m looking to book flights out of Venice afterour Norwegian Star cruise to get to Malta. The ship gets in at 7.30am.Unfortunately the flight times are all either early morning or late afternoonand we’d need to connect via Rome. I’ve not cruised into or out of Venicebefore but for anyone that has can anyone advise if we would be able to make a11.20am flight? I was thinking we would carry our luggage off rather than leaveit out the night before to save time. But not sure how quick the ship will getcleared for disembarkation to start and how bad the situation is for getting ataxi to the airport. Anyone cruised into Venice that can shed some light?

Looking at doing the same thing on the same morning (27th August) we will be in Orlando for Universal/Disney in the days prior and cruise leaves the 27th. I was thinking Car rental was going to be best but wasn't sure who to go through. Thanks for the info!
