  1. Last October on NA, I had coins for a few nights, then squares for remainder. According to reports all we are getting are squares now. For my upcoming cruise on the Westy, I am going to bring my own fine-foil-covered-pillow-chocolates and place them on my pillow before the cabin stewards come in for the evening turndown. I'll probably make my own towel animals too. May even fill my own ice bucket. Hey what else do I have to do? I am on a cruise

  2. Therein lies the problem! I've learned to read the review after dinner to avoid dashing to the kitchen to get a quick fix between meals. Gosh, the food looks so good. Although most of us may know what the ship looks like, could we have some pics of the public rooms, please? With all the food pics, I'm starting to drool onto my keyboard. LOL.

I binge ate a pgk of sunflower seeds after viewing that bacon!.. OK, back on topic and awaiting more spectacular photos and comments.

  3. Chelly....congratulations....I'm so excited for you! Couldn't happen to a nicer person. Maybe you'll have a repeat in October! I need to have the "do not move" thingy taken off my account!

Thank you my friend for the nice words. Of course you know how I like to be on port side forward for a WB TA......so if a suite is offered on Starboard in Oct, I regretfully would have to turn it down

  4. Wooooaaa, Carol!!! Not so fast. ;) The TA cruise leaves Sunday, October 19 (not October 15), exactly a week after the Bar Mitzvah. We spent 4 nights in Barcelona pre-cruise and will do the same again.

That was more than adequate. Given that it is relatively expensive if you stay in a nice hotel like the Hotel Colon.

Presumably the Bar Mitzvah is either in NY or NJ, you can pack before hand, and leave a couple days later for BCN. :)

Good for you, Sheila. You MUST convince Carol to join us!

  5. I would love to do that, but no way it's going to happen. My grandson's Bar Mitzvah is Oct. 12. The cruise leaves the 15th. Having never been to Barcelona, I would want to take advantage of some sight seeing, so it just won't work next fall.I'll catch up with you sooner or later.

    Carol,

Our Noordam TA sails on Oct. 19.

  6. Yay! Congratulations, I'd be beside myself as well! I've been doing the happy dance this week over my upsell from an inside to a verandah. You've given me something to aspire to for the next cruise!

Enjoy the suite life at sea!! :D

Congratulations to you too rain bowbrite. I'll never forget the excitement of having that first balcony. It was on a 16-day transatlantic and I lounged on that balcony everyday. Felt like I'd died and gone to heaven!

  7. I am sooooo excited I am doing the old-fashioned doc dance without the docs!!! I even grabbed my poor startled cat to dance with me!

My TA called with a very nice offer for a paid upgrade to my very first suite and I accepted. I went from a VB gty to a SY. I cruise solo and until a few years ago, I cruised in inside and occasionally outside cabins. Recently, I've had a few verandahs which to me is pure luxury, Now, I am just beside myself with excitement to have an entire suite all to myself.

So, I just needed to share my excitement with someone besides my cat:)

    You all understand, right?

  8. OK, I am going to jump in here too. On Last Oct's N.A. Med cruise, the ice dispensers in the Lido only worked about 50% of the time. I am referring to every ice dispenser. Sometimes there would be a bin of ice to scoop. Most often not. I would go from one ice dispenser to another and ......NO ICE. It was annoying. I never mentioned it because it didn't really affect an otherwise wonderful cruise, but hey.....what's ice tea without ice?
