I would say you would have to take a taxi from the port gates to the Queen Emma bridge unless there is a bridge for car traffic further inland. Anyone know?

Make sure you are not there on the weekend as they are not open (Saturday for sabbath and Sunday closed). I have been 2x but both were on the weekend :(

Oh Norris! Having this video of the butterflies is priceless! It really conveys the magic of the place. It was so hard to leave, especially for mandatory shopping, which always annoys me. I usually stay on the bus in protest. A brief word about the Curaçao synagogue as I see there is one reader who is interested. My mother was from Jamaica and her ancestors ended up in the West Indies after fleeing Portugal as part of the same diaspora that sent those Jews to the Netherlands Antilles. Her synagogue from when she was a girl in Kingston also had sand on the floors, to commemorate those who had to hide their religion from the Inquisition (nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition) in Spain and Portugal. So seeing my family name in the museum in Curaçao was very special for me.

I have never cruised solo but have often traveled by myself. I wouldn’t think twice about taking myself out to dinner on land, and I wouldn’t think twice about someone dining by themselves on board. Whatever you decide, enjoy your trip!!!

We just got back today from the 14 day Circle Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess. There was no repetition of menus or entertainment. It was an excellent overall. Have a great cruise!

My husband and I are going to be taking a cruise at the end of the month, and we already know which 2018 cruise we'd like to do.
