  1. Since ships have been able to come into and leave Galveston today I'm sure your cruise will be okay............but it's not too late to buy trip insurance.....

Ugh I sure hope so! If they do cancel it, I hope they give a little notice so we can book last minute on a ship out of FL'

  2. Hi! My family (husband, myself and our 7 month old) will be going on the Carnival Magic at the end of the month. Are there any recommendations for a beautiful beach with shade or AC so we can take the baby in there from time to time? What about where we can rent an umbrella?

This will be my 5th time in Cozumel but have always just done shopping on our own or the twister boat. We would like to see the beach this time :)

    Thank you!

  3. We are going to Roatan on Carnival Magic at the very beginning of April. We will have our 7 month old with us. We were looking at renting the A/C Private Cabana or Tabyana Beach Break. We want to make sure the beach is gorgeous and that there is shade for our babe.

The fact that the cabana has A/C makes it very appealing for nap time. But the Tabyana Beach looks fantastic and has a shuttle every 1/2 hour in case we need to go back to the ship early.

    Any experiences?

  4. Hi!

My husband, son and I are going on the Magic at the end of the month. This is the second cruise that I've been on where I will be of-age and not pregnant. The first time I was able to drink, I didn't because I was training for the police academy and had sworn off alcohol. Last time, I was pregnant.

What are some of your favorite mixed drinks or DODs that I need to try? I'm totally not a beer girl, so that's why I'm asking about mixed.

    Thank you!

  5. Hi, I'm new here. We're going on a Western Caribbean cruise in March on NCL out of Tampa. It will be my husband and I, our 6 month old son, and 6 other relatives. I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer. I'd appreciate any insight you can provide.

    1. They're going to provide a pack n play for our room, which is great because it means we won't have to bring ours. However, I've never used a pack n play from someone else before. Is there some way to clean it before putting my son in it? I don't want him to get sick from the kid who used it before him. Also, my son usually sleeps in a crib. The pack n play has a really hard thin pad on the bottom and I've noticed that in ours, at least, you can feel the bar through it. Any advice for making it more comfortable but still safe? My son is able to roll from back to front, but not front to back at this point so just filling it with blankets wouldn't be safe for him.

    2. We need to buy a new stroller because the one we have came with the carseat and is enormous. Since we're going to Disney World before the cruise, we'd like to get a lightweight stroller that will do well at Disney World, on the boat, shore excursions, and afterward at home. We've been looking at the Chicco Liteway Plus and Britax B-Agile strollers because they would both allow us to snap in our son's carseat (Chicco KeyFit30) while getting on and off the boat. Has anyone used these on a cruise/at Disney World? How did they do?

    Thank you!

We are taking our 7 month old! We have the lite way and the cortina and will be using the lite way for the cruise. It is phoenomenal!

  6. Hi all! My husband and I are taking our (will be 7 month old) baby on the Magic in 4 weeks. Our ports of call are Honduras, Belize and Cozumel.

We have a very good natured, happy baby boy. Before you lecture me about how it's not going to be a fun vacation and is going to be more work than it's worth, we have heard it all. It's not going to be any more work than it is at home, but we will be on a cruise with our babe, making our first of many family memories like I had growing up. :)

Basically, we would like to know if there are any good, shady beaches or non-scary beaches that we can go to or other activities? Scary to me is like Dunns river falls! So pushy! Obviously we can't do anything like that anyways, but are there any other activities that carnival offers that would be good, or anything that carnival doesn't offer that we could do by taking a taxi.

    Thank you!
