  1. That is crazy to hear... did you check Celebrity's website? I would go to the website. Also how close is your cruise? If close you can call direct and tell them what bar setup you want. We did the McCallan whiskey because its like 199 a bottle ... lol got two and will use as gifts.

Here is from Celebrity Direct on their website.

    Exclusive services and amenities

    • Complimentary bottled water, soda, and beer stocked daily
    • Unlimited lunch and dinner in all specialty restaurants
    • Two complimentary bottles of premium spirits
    • VIP canapés
    • Complimentary laundry service (twice per cruise)
    • Priority luggage delivery

Dont forget to order your complimentary monogrammed pajamas... order a size too big because they shrink.

Also you get to keep the $45 frette slippers.. .we saved and used as gifts also LOL And if they have a robe in stock BUY IT ..its not expensive.and it too is FRETTE and super lux.

They were out of stock... if they have them get 2 for me and I can venmo you LOL

ask any other questions and i can answer.... IF JESS is your butler tell him Ken and Jeff said hello and that we want our robes!!! LOL

Ask any questions because we had a great time.. and don't forget FREE gelato too at the gelato bar  at al bacio.. OMG so good.

and FREE lunches at any restaurant even sushi a la carte all FREE

Congrats on your successful move up bid!!  Do you mind sharing what range your bid fell into...We have a move up bid in for both a RS and an Edge Villa and we bid in the "lower end of strong" range.  My understanding is that you get the perks associated with the room category you've been moved to but you retain the points and booking perks of your original booking.

We were $25 above the minimum!! Was a weak bid !

  3. Hi

I got lucky and was upgraded from a Sky Suite to a Signature Suite on the Reflection. I had booked this a year ago so I already had all premium perks included...including tips!

The website really only has the asterisk when it mentions the drink package and wifi.... so with that said....

Has anyone who had a successful move up bid to the Signature Suite... did you get the unlimited dining and the 2 bottles of liquor ?

We did call the concierge number for the pre cruise retreat guests and they did send us the menus and premium spirits list...but wanted to make sure we are covered before we start booking restaurant.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Hi,

We are traveling with friends. Any other LGBT friendly travelers on our cruise? My only concern is they just replaced Key West a very friendly LGBT destination with Jamaica. SHEESH!

I would rather help out in Key West then step off the ship in that port. It is a shame that Celebrity didn't even say anything like ...we tried... but this is all that we had.

  5. Also, consider giving the cabin steward a little extra since they would be cleaning and tidying for three persons instead of two (they really are hard workers and accommodating.) I guess you are familiar with the size of cabins but standard cabins including verandahs can be tight with three persons.

We've actually been on about 30 cruises. We've been very fortunate to have great people service our room. We always tip above and beyond. This is our first on Hal. so that is why I was asking questions. Had it been on celebrity where we are elite, I would know what to do

  6. Nobody checks to see who sleeps where and I doubt the cabin steward will freak out - after all else they will see on the cruise.

Can your cabin accommodate 3 people? Not all can.

If in time you find you have a third going along, call RSVP and explain. They may be able to arrange a cabin switch.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Ours can not. They do have some cabins left but we can't switch til we know he has that week. I figured we would bring a twin blowup if it got too crowded in the queen. But yeah we will switch if we find out in time. Thanks for the info. I was hoping no one would care. I figure there will be solo cruisers who will gladly let us officially register him in their room. They get money back and still have the room as a solo.

  7. Ken, I am fairly sure you cannot do what you propose. All travelers must register and provide their passports, which are checked before they board. So your friend cannot just board the ship unless he is already registered before the deadline and he cannot impersonate to be someone else. I am certainly glad for the security, and I would hope you would too. It's best if your friend makes the decision before the deadline and commit to coming.

I hope you are kidding. Lol. I've been cruising since 2010. Of course we would pay. The deadline I mentioined in my post is 2 weeks before the cruise. We would pay and register him in someone's room. There is no impersonation. I have no clue where you got that.

My question is can he sleep in our room and not use his room. I figured we are not the first threesome to want to share a room if we can't find a cabin that holds three to begin with.

  8. HI all,

My husband and I are on this cruise in a Verandah but it only holds 2. We are thinking about bringing a 3rd... but the problem is we won't know until that last minute 2 week deadline.

With that said... here is what I am hoping I can do and wanted to see if anyone heard of anyone else doing this OR will this cause problems...

My best case scenario...is a few days before the deadline find out if anyone in a room can add a 3rd person for me in name only. I pay all the monies but our friend stays in our room.

Will the cabin steward freak out? we would all share that one bed. hehehe. I will bring a twin blowup i can stow under the bed so the steward doesn't freak if necessary... IS THIS OK? Or will they actually force him out?

OR - obviously we get lucky and there are rooms to buy and we just switch over to another room. Our current room is in a highly desirable class and location from what I have been told.

Finally - We did not get the gay costume Gene... and we desperately want to dress up. we have no one here in our area to help us. What are the chances we send our measurements to someone here and pay them to hook us up for some of the nights? It is a leap of faith but we've met only nice people here so it is worth taking the chance....

    Thanks for reading.

    Ken

  9. Moved all three rooms. Our friend said when we booked it clearly said it was moveable. She put him on hold. Came back. Said no problem. Put a note in our account. Called our TA. Told them to call Celebrity. We paid the difference. Same deal. We paid for an A2. Got an A1. Kept all the 123 Go perks. C r u c o n waived their $50 change fee when we asked politely if they could do that. All is well.

  10. Hi,

We booked nearly 2 years ago on the all in promotion that runs until 4/2017.

We have a cruise in December with all the perks. While on the cruise this week we decided we would move our December cruise. Celebrity said as long as it is within the timeframe and not a TA, we would keep all the promotions. But we have it with a well known large TA so they could not change it.

Has anyone tried to move their cruise successfully and not lose the perks under that promotion? We were told by Celebrity since day 1 that they were moveable. We know we have to pay the TA a change fee.

  11. Hi, also on this cruise and enjoying our time. Beautiful weather, I mean how can you complain? Stunning scenery along the way.

The reason Formal Night was moved back one night is because they showed the fight onboard! Yes, couldn't believe it but it was shown in the theatre, in the casino bar, and on TV. I think they knew people wouldn't really be participating so they postponed it one evening. We went to FN the next evening and found most passengers dressed on the casual side - we did not see one tux or gown, but that's not to say there weren't any. :) This Alaskan cruise seems very casual and people are dressing for warmth first.

The Captain is competent and knowledgable and it has been smooth sailing... we don't even know when we dock and when we pull out; there is no ship shudder or noise.

And yes, sadly, Vancouver embarkation was very hectic and we feel the bottleneck was the US Customs pre-clearance. There were at least twelve officers on duty so I can't really decide how it could have been improved. My only advice is to disregard the emails you will receive and just arrive earlier than later. We stayed at a hotel across the street and just walked through and dropped our luggage at around 10:45 am. I believe it was the people who arrived later in the day who experienced the more significant delays.

    Off to breakfast!

    By the way...

There were really only 2 ships. The grand princess was empty and was in wet dock at Canada Place. No passengers were on it until yesterday. It's on a 5 day cruise now because of the wet dock.

  12. Hi

You hit the jackpot. I did all the work for you. Just got back from HNL cruise. After much searching the best place to park overnight is 555 South Street. This parking lot charges $3 to park after 5pm. If you wake up late and pick the car up after 8 or 9 am they ask for $8 more when you get the car. Oh, and that includes in and out privileges. You all owe me a drink when you see me on the next cruise. This lot is a 5 minute walk from the ship also. Much closer than the other alternatives which do not exist anymore.

It has been my pleasure to help anyone renting a car in HNL on a cruise.

    Ken :)

  13. We should keep in touch. LOL I'm taking my sister and her husband on the solstice in April to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I imagine if you pay. You could redo the vows with the captain. Get a special cake made. Or perhaps arrange for a bridge tour. Then I can let you know what they do and don't do...and if it was worth it.
