  1. All great info! Thank you! I didn't realize you could buy wine in a grocery store in Florida. Perfect! Might also try and find that shop at the airport too.

If we decide to check bags (hoping not to) I will throw a couple in from home........never checked wine bottles before....will it be ok in the suitcase in the cargo of the plane from the pressure? Would you put a 12 pack of soda in a checked bag or would be pressure be too much?

    Thanks again!

  2. Good morning!

I was wondering if anyone had a place they usually stop to pick up wine before boarding their ship?

We are flying in around 11:15 am on a Saturday into MIA and have a boarding time at 12:30. We plan to just uber to the ship and were hoping there would be a place to swing by between MIA and the port of MIA that would be open around 11:30-12. Hoping to bring on a couple of bottles of wine and a 12 pack of something non-alcoholic.

Trying to avoid checking bags on the plane otherwise I would bring it from home.

    Would love any suggestions.

    Thank you! :)

  3. Me again :) Is the same true for the Conquest? Is that aft pool adult only too? Searching for a Carnival cruise that has two pools that can be used by families and I'm not too familiar with their ships. We have 14,12 year olds.

    Thanks again!

  4. Has anyone recently been on the Glory? I'm trying to figure out if the aft pool is still available for families to use. I know there's a serenity area on the front of the ship that is adult only, which is fantastic. But there seems to be some question on the aft pool. I just talked to Carnival and they said it is available to families and is not adult only. But I've read different.

Just trying to figure it out before we book. Will probably book a different ship if the Glory only has one pool available for families for this particular trip for us.

    Thanks for your help! :)

  5. Hello.

We are thinking about taking a MSC cruise in Europe but I am a little overwhelmed by the classes of service and what is and isn't included.

Does MSC offer free beverages like iced tea, lemonade, coffee and water throughout the day like on RCCL, NCL, Disney, Windstar etc? Or do you have to purchase a drink package for all beverages? I noticed a difference between Bella and the next level up is that mineral water? is served at dinner with the more expensive class.

Just trying to figure out how it works before we book.

    Thank you for your help!

  6. Has anyone been on the Enchantment since it went through dry dock in Dec 2017? I was wondering what things were updated on the ship (bedding? cabin updates? new activities? ).

My husband and I were on the Enchantment last January and had a lovely time. But the ship looked a little worn, especially the cabin and the bedding. Just curious if the bedding and bathrooms were updated. I can't seem to find photos anywhere of the updates. We are considering going on the Enchantment again this spring, this time with our children, but just wanted to see if things were spruced up a bit. :)

    Thanks!

  7. Hi!

We are considering a Carnival cruise on the Horizon and having not cruised on them in 25 years, I'm wondering what activities are included...Sky Ride, IMAX, Water park, kids clubs, etc (I'm not even sure what they have on the ship)?

Does anyone have the prices of the activities that are not included? Maybe a copy of a daily activities sheet?

I know this ship is not sailing yet but perhaps the pricing of activities would be similar to other ships?

Thanks for your help. Just trying to get a ballpark of cost.

  8. All great info! Thank you!!

I've heard the weather in July is much better but unfortunately, we can't get away until after the 6th of August.

I'll keep studying itineraries and length of time in port. I'm beginning to realize that maybe a one-way with a three day land tour (before?) may be the way to go? All of the week cruises that include Glacier (and return to the same port) are only in port three of the seven days. Unless they depart from Seattle then they drop in Canada for a day...Must be that rule where a ship leaving the US has to stop in a foreign port? Is it best to add a land portion to get the most out of the trip? This will probably be a once in a lifetime trip for us.

    Thanks again.

  9. We are thinking about a cruise to Alaska, August 2018 with our 15 and 13 year old. Does anyone have any suggestions on ships? Our priority is obviously to see the amazing scenery in Alaska. But I wanted to also choose a ship that might have a few fun things to do when not sightseeing.

We want to definitely be on a ship that does Glacier Bay National Park...which I've noticed eliminates a bunch of ships. And I'm thinking we want to depart and return to the same port.

    Thanks for your help!

  10. Hello.

We are thinking about taking the Dawn to Bermuda next summer in an inside cabin. We are a family of four and I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of beds are for the 3rd and 4th passengers in an inside cabin?

The NCL site is not specific. It just says "and additional bedding to accommodate two more guests" Does anyone know if it's two upper berths that come down from the ceiling? (which we would prefer). Or is it an upper berth and a sofa (or a rollaway)?

    Thanks for your help.
