    Allow me to over-explain.

Early is fixed, upper dining. Main is late, upper dining. Upper refers to the upper dining room. That's deck 3 on most ships, or 5 on the Volendam and Zaandam.  You report to your assigned table at your assigned time.

Open seating is one deck below. It's the same menu, but you report to the host stand any time during dinner hours and are seated when a table in your preferred size is available.

Occasionally, fixed seating people might wind up in the lower dining room, or vice versa, depending on capacity needs.

OK, sounds like what we were used to but with a new name!  We always had "Late Upper" as our designation for as far back as I remember.  Have not sailed on HAL for a while. Post Covid we have been pretty much only on Princess.  It's definitely time to return to HAL!

  2. Actually I'm not very concerned.  I bought a number of shares when the price dropped to $7 so have over doubled my last purchase.  I guess my timing was good. Will be holding on to all my shares.

  3. Curious, is it just a temporary glitch or is anyone else having problems making a reservation in the Pinnacle Lounge?  We are on the Eurodam in May to Alaska and have been trying to make a reservation in the Pinnacle.  I log in, go to make dining reservations and enter info.  When I click on "Select Date and Time" it takes me to a blank page. If I refresh the page it takes me back to the start again.  Never had this problem before....

As of maybe a month ago there is a link on each cruise in your history on the website to view/print your final statement. It currently works on cruises back to about 2009. If you did a b2b, the only cruise that will show the statement is the first one.

As for your final credit balance. Since you didn't get it back in cash before you left the ship, it is 'supposed' to be returned to the last method of payment (debit/credit/gift card). If you haven't received it, check with the Mariner's Society.

added: I just checked and mine goes back to 2008 now. Seems they might be adding backward.

Did you find this on the "Cruise History" tab?  When I look at mine there is no link found where I can see a final statement for any of my cruises.

If you have not received an email with your booking information, check in your spam box first, then ring HAL to send it to you.

I received the original receipt. I was asking only if they had updated information under the manage your booking tab on the website.  They apparently do not.

You get that information from your TA. Every time you make a payment, you should get an updated file. When I get approval for stockholder OBC, I always ask for an updated receipt since OBC never shows online.

Didn't book through a TA, booked directly with HAL.

If you're on the Website in the "Manage My Booking", just click on "Itinerary" - upper left. You will see all the items (shore excursions, specialty dining) you have reserved. At the top of the Itinerary, it will list any HIA credits you have remaining and if you have pre-paid Crew Appreciation.

If you're looking for what is included in your fare, how much OBC you have, fixed vs open dining or other details, those items are on the receipt you received from HAL via your TA.

Thanks, that helps.  I was mainly looking for the "receipt" kind of thing.  I know on the Princess site it is available under the manage booking section so you can easily see any recent updates, like payments, charges, etc.  That's what I was hoping to find on the HAL site.  I'm guessing they don't have something similar?

  8. It's been a while since we've cruised on HAL.  Can someone tell me where I can see my documentation for a booked cruise?  I know on the Princess website I can easily see this under the "Manage My Booking" area, but I can find nothing similar on the HAL site when I go the Manage Booking area.  Any help?  Thanks

Some people at our group had pictures taken.  I wasn't involved.  From what I hear, they can get pricey.  For example, they had 88 pictures taken.  If they want everything in digital format only, it's US$2500.  If you want less, the price per pictures goes up by several times.  If you want even less, the price per picture goes even more.

The cheaper prices are for small prints.  When you order a print, they might include the digital copy with the price.

What???? The only possible thing I could think of is 88 8x10 prints for this cost. Even then, pretty high.🤯

I'm not sure a picture of what is in a premium suite is a fair representation of what other accommodation on that ship or any other ship may offer. I know there were 2 North American style plugs on Zaandam that I wasn't expecting to have, then I realized that they were for the old TV and DVD player that are gone and replaced by a large flat screen on the wall, unfortunately they were all on the wall opposite the bed.

The OP asked about the Eurodam. This is the Eurodam. Yes, it is a Neptune Suite. It was the only pic I found that showed outlets.

    Morning everyone,

We're booked on the Eurodam in March.  It's our first HAL cruise since 2013 and our first AFT cabin ever (7136).  My husband now uses a CPAP machine.  I'm wondering if there are outlets near the bed or will we need to bring an extension cord?  Also, do we bring distilled water aboard or can HAL provide it?  Thank you

I know that on many ships there is a European style outlet on the wall behind the bed. I can't say for sure if Eurodam has this. Hopefully someone can verify.  Just need an adapter.  I also use a CPAP and have used this, really nice to not have an extension cord across the floor.

What date & ship? We are May 26 Noordam, and I have booked several excursions, then today the one missing port opened up. Spa has also been available. Mind you there are times when nothing has been "available", but that is due to the problems with the website! I found that with excursions, start with the "Manage my booking" screen, and ONLY use the "book my excursions" tab that shows UNDER the "xxx days to sailing" line. It should bring up the sideways rolling itinerary. That works. The other links to book excursions did not work for me.

We are on Eurodam, May 11.  Excursions are mostly there and have had no problem booking. It's the spa that says not yet available.
