Weird!
It seems to happen that way every year. It actually happened to me on Celebrity and I had to change cruises. They gave me compensation OBC. It happens 😄

Love that room, had it on Symphony and Allure and coming up on Oasis 🙂
It is a great deal and a great balcony space for shade, peace and quiet. 😄

I'm interested in booking Oasis in February 2020. I feel like I had read January/February is prime charter months.
Is this because it's generally a slow vacation time?
Oasis has been Charted by Atlantis Events on both August 26 to September 1, 2019 and January 19 to 26, 2020.
I hope this helps you.

Do they cheep all night?
There are real birds and geckos that have made Central Park their home. 😄

Does the crossover above the 14th deck cut out the sun much?
This room was our traveling companions. Every visit I had to the balcony was shaded. Which is perfect for me as I burn like a vampire when exposed to sunlight 😄

If you can find it from someone else will RC still try to charge you for one? This is RC after all.just a thought.
On embarcation you have to indicate on a form whether or not you want royal to provide them. I’m from Canada and I’m trying to save $200 As our dollar is currently weak. It all adds up in the end and I’d rather spend that money on something nice to bring home not a piece of paper 😄

I think you are getting 2 different scenarios confused. If you are flying from Canada to Cuba you get one type of visitor visa. However, when going to Cuba on a cruise, you will be flying/driving to a US port and then going to Cuba. All cruise lines charge the $75.00 USD per person. No way around it. Just enjoy the cruise and don't worry about the small stuff. You will have a great time...
The Royal Caribbean website clearly indicates that it can be provided by other sources and optionally you can purchase it from them for $75 USD

Just returned from a Cuba cruise on Carnival & yes all cruise lines charge the $75 USA funds for a Cuban Visa. It was put on our sail & sign card. The ships are not Canadian registered & do not come from Canadian ports so the fact you are Canadian does not make a difference. The exception being the exchange on money.
Bring Canadian dollars to exchange at 3% fee where USA funds are 13%. The exchange is inside the terminal & goes very quickly. They like to do in increments of $50 that takes less time per person.
Have Fun. We totally enjoyed every minute.
Thank you for this very valuable information! 😄

Great video! What time of day did you snorkel? I read a review elsewhere that said to go early, and it sounds like the area was just a little to the left as you walked off the boat. It was an old post, so I assume the "boat" was the tender. Does that sound like where you were?
Yes it was in the morning and to the left of the tenders. Life vests were mandatory and I had to rent one before going out.

Yes I'm aware that Canadians do not need to pay $75.00 USD for something they give away free when visiting from Canada. I need to find somewhere in Canada to get one. Advise please!

I’ve read through the mountains of posts for Cococay. It seems like everybody is wondering when it’s going to open and about the cabanas. Before you reply to me to look it up, I cannot find the answers to my questions and I’m tired of searching.
I’m wondering if the snorkel area is gone? Also are all the slides and stuff extra cost? Is anything free and if so what?
Here’s a video I took in 2011 of the snorkelling area at Coco Cay it would be a shame if it’s gone. Thank you for your replies!

I’ve waited weeks but it seems nobody has had the same circumstances.
That actually surprises me! I have never not received an answer from this board. I guess there’s a first time for everything.

I just purchased a cruise to Cuba on Majesty. I know that Canadians do not need a visa to visit, but we need to have a tourist card to visit Cuba. When booking a trip to Cuba from Canada the tourist card comes with your air ticket automatically. I just found out that Royal Caribbean charges $75 USD for each tourist card. That's quite a bit for something that is included automatically in Canada. Has anyone purchased this card in advance in Canadian funds so that it's more affordable with our horrible exchange rate?
Thanks!

We just booked this cruise. The Atlantis cruise is right after this one and we are on that too. :D

Is this for the Feb 3, 2019 sailing? I have heard that it's an Atlantis charter but it is still available for sale to the general public. Does anyone know if this is a charter for sure? Thanks
As per the title of this thread. 10 February 2019.

Actually the fact that the poster says "pray for them" indicates that they were trying to pray that gay people change their ways. That really angers me. :(
That’s how I read it.
And they think they are being kind for extending their prayers. It’s an insult.
-
I'm pretty sure he means "I'm gay, I like going on gay cruises, and I don't want or need you to pray for me."
Not sure if the original post was someone who just likes to pray for others who are dealing with loss or if they are praying that the gays change their ways. Personally I think it was the first, but I've seen enough of the second to understand Trickie Dickie being quick to be on the defensive.

Harmony Central Park or Oceanview Balcony?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I find on the Mega Ships that it is easy to be disconnected from the ocean. When once on Harmony I had a boardwalk balcony, I completely forgot I was on a cruise ship until I noticed a wave out a random window when taking a walk. It was like oh yeah I am on a ship. ooops! Silly me.🤣
