I'll find a few pics to upload. In October I'm on a Princess TA that stops at Ponta Delgada. I checked the shore excursions and for both of the above tours the stop at Crater Lakes is scheduled for 10 minutes. On the Sete Cidades tour we stopped at Santiago Lake for 10 minutes as well.

In November 2019 my husband and I did the Princess version of the Sete Cidades and Wine Tasting tour. We thought it was an excellent tour. Beautiful scenery (lots of Kodak moments) and the wine and cheese waw surprisingly good. I definitely recommend that tour. My guess is that you spend similar amount of time at the twin lakes on either tour. I say splurge, go with the tour that includes wine and cheese.

Not sure the timing works out for that, therefore seems unlikely. If that occurs, then the restart of the Diamond will be postponed and more cancelled cruises. I won't be surprised if the restart of the Sapphire is postponed, and that Princess tries to hang on to the South America cruises.

What does the 'fine' print say for cancelling with less than 45-days to go?

It is possible that the distillery is open that Sunday specifically for organized ship tours not the general public. Their website has an option to contact them. You could contact them and ask if they are open that day for organized Princess ship tours. Usually if the site is not an option because it is closed, Princess will note the substitute in the excursion details. I would also email Princess with the booking number and excursion booking detail asking them if this distillery is still on the tour.

I see that the Irish singer Ella Ryan is performing on the Emerald. My DH and I 'discovered' Ella when we did the British Isles cruise in 2018. I highly recommend relaxing with a beverage of your choice as Ella performs.

Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with either tour as the scenery is beautiful and very lush. My DH and I took a variation of the Crater Lakes tour through Princess in November 2019. That tour was 4 hours and included Sete Cidades, Santiago Lake, Crater Lakes, and wine and cheese tasting at the end. We both enjoyed the tour.
