It is big news here also. The CDC and Carnival are trying to do the right thing and bring the entire ship back. The problem being that though she is self quarantined she still came in contact with all the passengers, crew, shore side personnel, etc., before the self quarantine.........

 

This scare just seems to get worse and worse as each day passes.

 

I do not think that I can let myself be scared into cancelling our plans for cruising or even going to the store. There are just to many "ifs" in life to be overly worried, even with my health.

Just read on the cbc news that a woman passenger on a Carnival cruise ship had herself quaranteened on board and the usa is trying to bring her and husband back to the usa ASAP.Ship sailed from Galvaston Texas.

What VF cabin are you interested in? Until recently the only VF cabins were on decks 4 & 5. Now the deck 5 ones have become VA and some former VA on deck 8 have become VF. The deck 4 and deck 8 VF are identical inside, and only differ in the size of the balcony and type of railing. So are you asking about the deck 4 VF with the solid steel railings, or a VF guarantee that may put you elsewhere? If you have a specific location in mind, check halfacts.com for pictures and often comments about specific rooms.

Just had info from a friend who was on board MS Maaasdam- Boston to Boston cruise and she was informed that at the end of 2016 the Maasdam

and Veendam are also to be sold and another 2500 newbuild to take their

place.Sad news indeed.:(

Horrible Ferry disaster in korea,prayers an thoughts with all who lost loved ones,so tragic.

Just wondering how many people will try this new cruise line in 2019,they have a great airline and a great rail network in the uk.I wonder how much it

will cost to sail with them as the air and rail is kind of high.I would love to try the cruise line but as a loyal HAL cruiser it would depend on a lot of factors.:confused:

I like to check the Port web cams each day I noticed no sign of any Cruise ships docked there for a long time.Have they stopped going there or is it out of season:confused: Temps looked good,can someone help.

Thank you everyone for your advice,we wil stay overnight and make our flight at 10am,there are no more flights by West Jet after 10 am.could have gone with Air Canada but did not wish to fly with them.
