  1. From Carnival's list of prohibited items:

    • Food Items must be pre-packaged and unopened; homemade items or pre-cooked foods will not be permitted onboard. Limitations on permitted food items are directly related to concerns for food safety and contamination prevention. We are unable to provide food preparation, refrigeration or storage for personal food or beverage items.

I believe this is for first day when they scan your bags to get to registration to board the ship. I get caught bringing my left over cooked sticky rice from my flight and they took it away after that anything I brought back from ports was ok!!

  2. We are going on our first Premier Cruise in January. On the mailer it said that first time Premier cruisers get a special gift once onboard. Does anyone know what that might be?

Also, we are Platinum so we already have priority embarkation. If we go to Platinum check in will we miss handouts or information at the Premier check in area?

    Thanks is advance,

    Dawn

    The answer is NO!

All informations will be waiting for you in your cabin.

  3. All the cruise lines recommend DI.....and I only mention their name associated with MoneyBack as the DI salesman took me to the kiosk himself.

I find it impossible to believe that the DI salesman doesn't know that MoneyBack won't send me my money. He mentioned it ONLY to encourage me to make the sale (that one thing that put the purchase over the top). It is a SCAM and I just thought people would want to know.

Granted I LOVE my purchase, would have bought it regardless (even though DI is NOT my favorite store), but I DO think that the DI salesman knew I'd never see the tax refund.

    Hi CaroleSS,

Do you have the email of MoneyBack? Would you please email me their email address?

    my email address is trnkk..at...Comcast..dot..net.

    Please the post above.

or anyone who happens to have MoneyBack email address please email me!

  4. I have NEVER had a problem with the tax refund. Yes it takes a really long time, more than the 90 days at times, but it always came through.

DI has nothing to do with it. It is the government of Mexico that refunds your tax $$ and we all know how fast any government sends any money owed.;)

There is an email and phone number to call on your receipt/paperwork from that kiosk. I have emailed them once and they actually answered back promptly explaining how it works.

    So don't loose hope.

    Hi Arzeena,

I filed paper work with them but I did not carry passport with me at the time they gave me their email address to email them the copy of my US passport once I got home ( I would have gone back to the ship and get the passport and gone back to them but there was only 20 minutes left before the ship leave I did not want to chance missing the ship) however upon returning home I could not locate my paperwork thus I lost their email address.

Could you please send me their email address?

My email is trnkk...at...Comcast...dot..net (not dot com)

Note: I made a purchase at Dimonds International store at the pier in Cozumel!!

    Thank very much,

  5. I usually bring several hundred dollars to start my play. I give them at least $100 to start, there is no percentage charge on a cash buy in. This is the level I have found they track my play. If I do not have cash with me at the time I want to play I go to a slot machine and get the cash off of my card. Then I cash out and get the cash from the cashiers. I have rarely been comped drinks, unless it is towards the end of the cruise, I have tipped quite a bit, and the house has been winning.

Be aware doing this you may get away the first time but next time doing it they'll put a lock on your card!!

  6. Update from this evening:

Tonight was elegant night and we waited an hour for a table. Granted we went at 7:00pm and expected a wait but this was excessive.

I would not encourage anyone to get your time dining-stick with traditional times. I'm going back to that for next cruise.

    Love2Cruz2015,

Thank you very much for your time posting live review, this helps me relive the memory I sailed on her back in June and again in Oct. both Med. cruises I did YTD and never had to wait long I think it depends on what time you show up I always went just after 8:30 (YTD closes at 9:30) walked right in, this way I could eat leisurely taking my time to enjoy my dinner and conversation with servers besides the waiters dance happened around 9:00 I love that.

  7. All of the Ultra invited players (not their guests) did receive a gift. In our cabin was a welcome bag, which included two lanyards and "Ultra" cards, good for free drinks in the casino. On the back of the Ultra card was my designated time. They divided us into groups of about 50 and held a drawing every day. Mine was Thursday night at 10:30. The prizes were IPad mini, IPad Air, IPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy cell phone, Bose noise cancelling headphones, Ultra Cash ranging from $300 to $1000, Apple watch, Carnival Tagheuer watch, MacBook Pro, and a 65 inch Samsung curved TV. For each drawing, there were two MacBook Pros, one watch and one TV. I won the big TV, which should be delivered to my house in 4 to 6 weeks. The most frequently awarded gifts were the IPad Minis and Ultra Cash.

    Congratulations on your winning.

  8. Hi teddy,

I really don't remember. Trenitalia has an English part of its website that has the train fares and schedules. Very useful for planning your day.

And I'm sorry but I can't remember what we paid from the port to the train station and back.

It's ok I am the same way probably worse!!

  9. I like to go to the farthest point first.

We took a cab to the train station in Livorno and bought round trip tickets to Lucca and took the train to Lucca, changing in Pisa Centrale.

We spent a couple of hours in Lucca and then took the train back to Pisa and got off one stop before Pisa Centrale and walked to Pisa. We had bought tickets to climb the tower online before we left home. We spent a couple of hours in Pisa before we walked back to the Pisa Centrale station and caught a train back to Livorno. Then we caught a cab back to the port.

A fun and not too costly day!

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

    Hi Viv08828,

How much the train ticket cost and taxi cab from Pisa to port?

    Thanks,

    Teddy
