Yes to the no sugar added deserts, but I found them very bland and tasteless.

I will be happy to show you my folio, you DO NOT get 50% off the $29 laundry deal. You get half off other bags of laundry (and more I guess, as I explained my numbers did not add up to what I thought).
I got 50% off the $29 laundry deal on the Getaway last month

We have purchased Vibe on every NCL we've been on - Getaway, Escape, Breakaway, Bliss, Joy, Epic (Posh substitute for Vibe). We are never in Haven (although would like to be).
I see why there are 2 varying opinions:
Plus: We consider Vibe a major must - we don't have children, don't use the pool or hot-tubs, and hate lining up for drinks. We like the quiet adults only environment with better drink service, more comfortable loungers, and great views of ocean and ports during sailaway. We also have met some great people there as the same people come almost everyday and the bar staff remember our drinks and personalities.
Cost and use: While we try to use it every day when at sea or when coming back from ports, NCL has increased the price pretty high in comparison when it first came out. And it really does depend on time of year whether it is worth it. We've been in 3 Vibes (January and March) when it was simply too chilly to be there for long and while we still enjoy it we need to abandon it reluctantly due to the cold winds etc.
I always marvel at the ones who purchase it and never come back after the first day - must have money to burn. We try to make it worth the cost by using it when we can. However if NCL keeps raising the cost, at certain times of year it might not be worth it i.e. Joy for New Years in the Pacific - too cold when at sea to be up there.
Thank you for this overview. We’ve been on many cruises and have never gotten it. We were just on the Getaway and the pool area was jammed, you had to be out there early to get loungers and the drink line ups were long. We’re going on a transatlantic out of San Juan next year so I’m exploring this as an option when it becomes available.

we used our $50 excursion credit to book. It was $45 if I remember correctly so with the credit $0.00. If you want more quite area go to the clamshells on the far right. The others are a little more of walk but are also closer to the action.
You were? We weren’t allowed to use our shore excursion credit as it stated it didn’t apply to equipment rentals which I was told the clam shells were. Good to know for next time.

You can reserve them once you get on the ship. I just went to one of the kiosks and did it there. It wasn’t available before the cruise for me either.
-
I was just on the Getaway and the coffee maker was on the top shelf of the closet and you just had to ask your steward for coffee supplies.

Thanks everyone, I’m guessing it’s because it’s a new ship then!

I keep reading where people are able to buy vibe passes months in advance. When I asked (via the chat function) they said they wouldn’t be available until 120 days before sail date. Is it because it’s a new ship? Has anyone been able to buy passes for the Viva yet? I’m on April 7, 2024 sailing out of San Juan.

I was there a few weeks ago. It was $10 for the life vest rental.

Same here we are on the second leg on the Sun and although I did online checkin for both was told to just pick our new card up the last day of first cruise
I didn’t do online check in for the second leg but my keycard was good for both cruises. Doesn’t seem like there is any consistency, depends on the ship I guess.

I’m on a b2b right now and didn’t do check in for the second cruise. They had all the info and my key card was already set for both cruises when I arrived at the port for the first one. I was staying in the same cabin so that might have made a difference. I got a call a few days in confirming that I was b2b and that I would get a letter with instructions. They told me I didn’t have to do the online check in.

Just watched the ship said away from NY harbor in the port webcam feeling sad. Is it time to graduate to a Back-2-Back adventure next???
This is what we did! We were on the Getaway with you last week (loved your posts!) and now we’re on the 8 day Bermuda (fingers crossed) itinerary. Judging from the new guests it will be a slightly rowdier group than last week lol.
is there a college/university break this week?

I didn’t think testing was required to board any more? I’d be interested in this info too.

Does FaceTime require the streaming package or will the unlimited wifi suffice?

Currently on version 4 of this years vacation but I’m not complaining. Was originally booked on the October transatlantic from Southampton. Then I booked Vegas/Zion/Grand Canyon but the border closure put an end to that (I’m in Canada). Planned on renting a motorhome and driving cross country but now that’s not advisable either so the current plan is to enjoy my home province of B.C. and do a road trip here.
Have a new cruise booked for January 2023 from Cape Town and can’t wait to go cruising again when it’s safe.

They’ll have it before setting sail no matter what time. I was on the breakaway when boarding was delayed until almost midnight. Muster drill took place about 2am. Lots of grumbling but it still happened. We didn’t actually leave port until about 6am.

Always before departure and after embarkation. Doesn’t matter what time that is. I was on the breakaway last October which was delayed for multiple reasons. Muster drill at about 2am.

16 days but I just booked a b2b2b for the south, east and west Caribbean which will be 22 days.

Nassau or anywhere you have to tender.
