  1. Our TA and Princess OBC showed up on our account right after we booked.  I booked one Princess tour and they took it out of what we had in there.  We booked a year ago and cruised 18-29 Dec (still unpacking 🙂  I just looked and both the TA and Princess OBC shows up on our Feb 2024 cruise already.

  2. Wow - this sale is bizarre.  When I received the first email I went and checked on our Feb 2024 cruise and found that the new sale price was $500 more than it was last month.  I looked again today and the fare is up $620 from yesterday!!!  Can I have another please.....

BSE does not include 2024 cruises, so nothing here for me.

It may not apply although when I clicked through it took me to our Feb 2024 cruise - which is now $1,300 more than when we booked and $500 more than it was 3 weeks ago...

What's it like.. Christmas Eve and Day out there at Sea?  Lots of lights or trees on the ship?  We'll be on Ruby Princess from Galveston Texas.  Anyone know what the shows like?  Rudolph and friends?

We'll experience it with you - we're on the same cruise 🙂

It varies from year to year, and itinerary to itinerary.  But I can attest that the booking that I made during last year's BSE promotion was absolutely the best all-in price for our Mediterranean Cruise, by a wide margin. None of the sales before or since have come close to what we got last Winter, as long as the Plus Package is of interest.  Basically, in addition to good pricing, they included the Plus Package for "free".  Yes, I know that nothing is "free."  But this was not one of those sales where they jacked the price up by $300 and then gave you the $280 (7 x $40) Plus package for free.  It was basically the same price as before, and with the Plus Package thrown in, and for us, that was for all three passengers, amounting to a $840 savings.  (Price to upgrade to Premium was the usual $25 per day.)  Now that Plus is $60 per day, a similar sale could be big.  So I would take a hard look at the BSE offerings when they come out.

We booked a cruise about the same time and caught the same kind of deal - and I didn't even realize it until I went to look for a possible reduction a few months later and saw the price was $1500 more than what we paid for the 11 day cruise.  Essentially we got the "Plus" package free along with a nice discount.  We'll enjoy it over Christmas 🙂

You can go to Guest Services and modify the "crew incentive" and modify that amount to anything you want. My husband and I are going to leave it at the current value.

We have the "Plus" package on our two upcoming cruises so not really an issue for us.  We have never considered modifying the payment - the only thing we modify is the extra tips if we feel they were warranted.

Certainly not wanting to tempt fate...but after 18 cruises we've never had an issue with porters "losing" our luggage.  YMMV!

Same here after 23 cruises - and - we never knew anyone that had luggage missing.

    Oh, one more question.

AARP site indicates maximum of 5 cards per month.  Is it calendar month?  Or one month from last gift card purchase?

And if it applies, like it does for me, once I buy my five - my wife can also buy five 🙂

I just went in and added a bracelet to our previous order to be shipped to the house.  Our cruise departs 18 December.  I didn't see a way to edit our previous order but I could cancel and put in a new order.  Good luck.

As a follow up the bracelet arrived Saturday and we received the medallions yesterday (Monday).

Princess needs to send the email to their people on the ship add TELL them (not ask) to enforce the policies in place.

You've seen them enforce the "guidelines????"  In 17 Princess cruises we haven't.

  11. On our cruise on 30 Sep they had people at the door, I had my green lane printed out so they could see it, we were wearing our Elite medallions and they pointed us to a walkway where we proceeded onto the ship - no health questionnaire, no nothing - we were in our cabin 10 minutes later!

  12. We just received an email from Princess making sure we knew our next cruise was leaving in 2 weeks 🙂  But what caught my eye was the ad for Formal Nights - or Dress to Impress.  I could imagine hearing several heads exploding if they saw it 🙂  Just in case my attachment doesn't show up - it shows a couple strolling on the ship - he has an open collar, no tie :-)

Don't believe there is a health survey now. When we went on November 13, I forgot to fill it out and was never asked for it.

Same with our 30 Sep British Isles cruise - we were never given one and never asked for one.

  14. On our Oct cruise we had requested a table for 2 at the same time each night.  We never got the same table twice - but we didn't care and didn't ask to have the same one so I don't know if they would have accommodated it had we asked.  We never had to wait or stand in line.  I'm sure like pretty much everything Princess - your mileage may vary!

  15. A name from the past 🙂  Can't answer the question but Capt "Crash" Nash was the Captain on our 2004 Alaska cruise where we had a run in with a concrete pier and missed Victoria and limped back to Seattle 🙂  We have cruised with him since then as well - and good to hear he is still with Princess.  Edited to note he is now Commodore Nash - the 7th one ever to hold that rank.
