Deck 3 interior cabin on Oasis OTS - Any thoughts?
CuseJeff44 replied to CuseJeff44's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The cruise appears to be sold out, so looks like we are staying here. Seems it will be fine. They sleep through almost anything. -

Yeah they will have earplugs. I think it will be fine, although may keep an eye on inventory in case something opens up -

Yeah I'm going to see if the agent can help. My son is somewhat prone to motion so low isnt necessarily the worst thing, but am concerned about the noise in that area. -
We just got assigned our last cabin for the June 23 sailing, and it looks like a pretty "meh" location. 3848. Looks like it's close to elevators, bathrooms, and main dining room traffic. Only upside I can see is that it looks like a cabin that won't get a ton of traffic after hours as there is nothing else there. Has anyone ever stayed here or near here who can out my mind at ease? It's for my sons, who are both 17-20 and can sleep through a train but still would rather it not be very very loud for them.

We are going to be on Oasis this summer and were thinking about booking again while on board at NextCruise. We really want to go to to Ireland at some point and I began researching cruises. RCI has a Dublin page (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-to/dublin-ireland) but its basically empty. Did they used to sail to Dublin and don't any longer?

I remember cruising in the early 2000s and the self serve machines were available for passengers to use themselves, basically like the buffet, coffee machines, soda machines, etc. However, for some reason, in recent years, they changed the model and now have a poor RCL staffer whose whole job is to fill ice cream cones for people. Maybe COVID related although like I said, so many other things that people can still do themselves I dont know if thats it. Anyway, can we actually self serve the soft serve again?

Apologies, this should be in a RC forum. Please ignore

Are certain guarantee categories easier to assign than others? We booked one guarantee balcony cabin and one guarantee interior cabin. The balcony was assigned within a couple of days, but the inside cabin, its been a number of weeks. We are still a couple months out, and I know it could come as late as boarding, but just curious if it is typical for balconies to be assigned earlier?

Slight difference here, I'm just trying to get these paid. I usually book with RC directly. This was with a 3rd party and curious if the process is different

I booked with an agent. I guess she can call and find out. If I haven't maybe she can add it.
-
No. I guess I am asking, can I call and just pay them now, 2 months before sailing? I'd like to be as done as possible with all but the fun stuff when I get on board.

I'm unclear about how pre-paid gratuities work. Are they really "pre-paid"? Or are they just automatically placed on your bill to pay on the last night of the cruise? Right now, my bill is zero. But I don't believe I have paid gratuities. I have looked on the site and cant find a place to.

Cruise ship hot tubs - safe or not?
CuseJeff44 replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
i love hot tubs and will use them. i'll shower after and avoid getting the water in my mouth -
I booked all 3 rooms, and have access to them in my account. But when I try to book at a specialty restaurant, its effectively forcing me to book 3 reservations for 2, 2, and 1 as opposed to just booking a table for 5. We have already linked the reservations for purposes of main dining room. Will this carry over into the specialty restaurants? Should I call and book this by phone?

glad I jumped on $69, its already up to $75. one convenient thing for us. My wife doesn't drink. Maybe she'll get 1 or 2 glasses of wine and a pina colada over the course of the entire week. but we also are booking 2 rooms because we want the kids separate. so we are juggling the rooms in a way that prevents me having to buy it for anyone else (although everyone else is getting the soda)...
