  1. I am so glad Steve got to you 1st with the critiques!

I also thought the service on thise cruise was far & above what I had been expecting based on the reviews I had been reading.

I also LOVED the spa....thought Luke was great...LOVED how I felt after leaving the T-pool.

We're booking the Legend for next year....love that ship....sorry you'll be someplace else as I enjoyed meeting you, Latanya, Steve & Kim.

  2. Thanks! Its nice to know we aren't the only ones. :) I highly recommend the Dream. :D

I can't stand entitled idiots that think the world revolves around them. If you asked them to mention ONE good thing about the cruise, they probably couldn't think of anything.

I also added my review to the main Cruise Critic page and then read a very negative review from someone else about the SAME exact cruise we were on.

I swore that person was in another time dimension because we didn't notice ANY of the things they brought up as issues.

I just read that persons review....I honestly have no idea what ship they were on, because we, like you, had a great week. We did have an aft-wrap balcony room which was very nice.....but we had a great weeek. The Belize day, where our beach excursion got screwed up, there was some idiot screaming at the excursions manager about how awful the whole cruise was...worst service ever...yadda yadda yadda.....we did not have that experience.

  3. does anone know if there is a divider that can be opened between 9472 & 9468? from pics I have seen, I cannot tell

Yes - we had the divider opened between the 2 balconies, our kids were in 9468.

this is SO aggravating because I had asked this question somewhere on the boards and was told that 9472 & 9468 actually had a solid WALL between the balconies...not even a possible divider to be opened......I had seen pics of aft-wraps on the Dream and one of them stood out because it looked like a wall and not a typical divider, so I asked.....reason I asked is kid-related and being told NO there is no divider made the decision for us that our kid could not come....

    ...so....do you have a picture?

  4. I have heard Belize has some of the best snorkeling anywhere....would try that or book a beach excursion with the ship.

The port area, once you get away from the tourist trap shops, is rather dirty....but the country itself is beautiful. We did cave tubing with Major Tom -- it was AWESOME and we got to see quite a lot along the way.

Belize is a place I would go to on a land vacation someday...

  5. So, we're thinking of staying at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach based on what we've read on here...their Snooze & Cruise rate is really good.....but they are 1/2 mile from Publix. We will be going there to get supplies for the cruise. I would walk it, my partner would not. I looked on google maps...doesn't look that bad...anyone done this? What about staying at hotel right across the street from Publix?

  6. Hi there!

Lookin for inexpensive but NICE beach hotel in Ft Lauderdale for Dec 4th for 1 night, 3 adults. If we don;t stay on the beach, how close can we be but save a lot on toom cost? Currently booked at Marriott Beach Places Towers -- but want something less expensive - hopefully with shuttle to/from airport and also to cruise port.

  7. Dear Cool Cruiser,

Thank you for mentioning the Royal Palms in your write up. It sounds painful when you mention that you paid $10.00 US for your burger however I think that when I put it in context it may be somewhat less so. We do not charge an admission to the property, for the showers, changing rooms or for the security officers that make sure that we can respond to any emergency. We make our own burgers and buns in house evry day. While you are eating you get to have an unfettered view of the crystal clear Caribbean sea. If you venture downtown a burger is $15.00 US at Margeritaville and Hard Rock Cafe. One other note, our first cost for everything is about double what you pay in Canada and the US. We have to import all our product and then pay duty on them. Sorry about going on and on but I feel that we give an excellent product for the cost.

Tropical Regards from The Royal Palms

I took advantage of seeing that you are from the island. I am trying to fin d abeach that has lots of in the water activities - NOT snorkling. I am talking about water trampolines, inflatable-floating-climbing toys, etc. I am just fine lying on the beach all day, but my partner loves the toys.

  8. I need to get clarification about the new passport rules to see if I need to obtain one this year or if I can wait.

I am booked for a cruise for April 22-29 flying from Tennessee to Florida. The cruise goes to Nassau,Bahamas, ST.Thomas and St. Marten. Do we need to purchase passports or not?

    Thanking you in advance.:D

sorry if this is covered somewhere I have not looked, but do you need to take your passports with you when you go on shore exurions? how do you keep the safe and dry if you do?
