  1. We have cruised 6 times all with princess.  It works out best for our family (my wife and I and our 2 kids(17 and 12) to cruise in August.  I went to book a cruise a couple months ago for August 2020 to the Caribbean and princess had no cruises going there.  We ended booking the carnival horizon for a 8 day to Aruba Bonaire and Curacao with a non refundable deposit.   Even tho it's booked I feel uneasy about going with carnival so I check a couple times a week to make sure princess hasn't added a cruise going to the Caribbean even tho I know it's impossible that that would happen. I would gladly eat the nonrefundable deposit to get back on princess.

  2. WE ARE PRINCESS CRUISERS AND THINKING OF TAKING A CRUISE ON THE SEASIDE NEXT AUGUST.  DO THEY SHOW MOVIES AT NIGHT UP ON THE POOL DECK?  DO THEY SHOW MOVIES OR CONCERTS DURING THE DAY?  DO THE TV'S IN THE CABINS HAVE THE ON DEMAND SYSTEM WHERE YOU COULD WATCH MOVIES OR DIFFERENT TV SHOWS?

    THANKS

  3. I know its a long way off (aug 2020) but we are very excited to try Carnival and the Horizon.  We have sailed 6 times with Princess and honestly if they had a caribbean cruise during that month we would have booked with them again.  The big factors were the itinerary (abc islands) and the price.  Alot of firsts for us this cruise.  I guess my travel agent quit or got fired so I had to find a new travel agent and this cruise goes out of Miami and all of our cruises have been out of Ft. Lauderdale.  I will have alot of questions for everybody until then cause I havent really started doing any research on Carnival other than watching some vlogs about the ship itself.  Thanks everyone.  Our excitement has begun.

  4. We have only cruised Princess and the tv in the cabin is amazing.  They have tons of movies and tv shows to watch and you can watch a movie and turn it off half way thru and when you come back it will start where you left off.  Does Carnival have anything like this? Are there movies you can watch in your cabin?  We usually like to watch tv to wind down at the end of the night.  Thanks

  5. Are the ropes course and the water slides open on embarkation day?  I think I read on a review that you cant play basketball after 530 on the Horizon.  That would be a major bummer as my son love to play at night.  Is that true on the Magic as well?

  6. Hi everyone.  We are loyal Princess cruisers (6 cruises) but are going to give carnival a try in August of 2020 for a 8 day cruise since Princess is not doing caribbean cruises in august that year.  We have narrowed it down to either the Magic or Horizon.  We are upper 40's and our kids will be 17 and 13 at the time of the cruise.  The Magic stops at bonaire, aruba, turks and caicos and half moon cay.  Horizon stops at bonaire, aruba, and curacau.  We have been to aruba, bonaire, and curacau before and it was our favorite cruise with princess.  Any help deciding would be appreciated.  I will have many more questions over the coming months since we dont know alot about how carnival does things compared to princess. Thanks for your help.

  7. So if I read that post right for my wife and I and our two kids we would need four chairs and two umbrellas. So that would be $60 for the 4 of us is that correct? We were going to go to Calico Jack's but I would rather go to Hemingway's because they have the pool the kids could swim in cuz they don't like the salt water
