  1. we are on a 14 night caribbean Eclipse in January, hopefully some of the entertainers change at least once during the cruise, do the shows change at all during the two weeks. Does anyone know the routine ?

we booked this because it was 14 days, unlike lots of others that are really b2b 2 seven nite cruises , back to FL in the middle. thanx, Mike in CT

  2. The Edge roll calls are right there on the roll call page. I am on a couple of them. :D

Thanx. On my tablet just now i found it easily. On my PC earlier, i was on CC, clicked on find your roll call, celebrity, jan 2019, but Edge wasn't on the list of ships there. Sailing b2b in January. Mike in CT.

  3. "how about friends of Gus, or Silvester, or maybe even Paul ?"

Not familiar with any of those, but Friends of Bill W is Alcoholics Anonymous related.

to those wondering about Hiram, Rotary was founded by 4 friends, in Chicago in 1905, Hiram, Gus, Silvester and Paul Harris who organized the group. Mike in CT

  4. thanx for all the info, just booked b2b on the Edge - in january 2019. the ship will be a month old, hopefully enough shake-down time before us to work out any wrinkles. Mike in CT

  5. we're thinking of doing a b2b on celebrity, if you are able to book the same cabin for both do they make you pack up, move out, and move back in, or do they let you just leave the cabin as is for a few hours ??

would appreciate info from any b2b cruisers. Thanx,

    Mike in CT

  6. It's really not very formal. In most that I've attended people tell about their club projects and share information. More Rotarians seem to attend, but I've met wonderful people from Kiwanis and Lions Clubs.

Thankx for the reply, In addition to talking about our clubs and projects, it's another reason to have a drink !

Princess lists them in the daily "patter" that is delivered to your cabin every night.

(are you a PDG? i got CT dmv to approve Rotary plates, but couldn't get 50 members of 2 districts to order them ! I've been to several Boca area clubs. Mike in CT

  7. We've cruised 6 Princess ships and like the half covered/half open balconies like on Ruby, Coral and others. Are the Caribe deck (10) balconies on Star the same. Looking at 15 day Hawaii from LA. Thanx for any info. Mike in CT

  8. This is our first cruise where we are not staying in FL and have a late flight. The ship excursions are only 3-4 hours long. I thought I read about a shuttle that runs by the port that you can hop on and off of. I'm not sure what you do with your luggage? Thanks for any help!

Depending on which airline you are flying, and your destination, sign up for EZcheck during your cruise, for $25/pp princess will deliver your airline boarding passes AND bag check tags to your cabin the night before you get back to port. You put the airline tags on the bags and then you don't see the bags until you get off your plane !!

  9. we were marked no upgrade, but i got an upgrade email offer on tuesday for our coral cruise in two weeks, from a caribe midship extended balcony offering a dolphin mini towards the rear - for $299/pp.

i passed on it, i'd rather give princess the 598 in the spa , restaurants, wine package and maybe a visit to the casino .

Go UCONN women, 90 game winning streak !!! Mike in CT

  10. 25 is still a bargain. often we don't fly out of FLL until the evening to get a nonstop flight, ANOTHER PLUS is that with ezcheck we don't have to worry about storing our bags during the day since some airlines won't let you check them early in the day for a late flight.

  11. thanx for the review and info. I've read really good reviews of Corey Moir, and hope he is still on board for at least another month.

We are on the Coral this month, i've read thru Patters that were posted from an October sailing, and was wondering if you might have - and be willing/able to post them.

I'm curious if most activities are scheduled on the same days/times from one trip to the next? Mike in CT

  12. for some reading on this topic, google "Cruise law news" articles by Atty. James M Walker , some of his articles include:

the Achille Lauro hijacking was in 1985 !

many cruisers weren't even born then !!

But, 5:00 pm is approaching , i think i'll have another drink !!
