I'm on the Seashore, October 2021. Bookings are available now.

Yes, they've given me a cabin # on deck 12.

Booked an oceanview guarantee, expected to be on deck 5

I was just assigned a family balcony cabin (aft Meraviglia). What can anyone tell me about these? Does the living area automatically come with sleeping area??

I can link so that is not my issues, but I cannot access and see anything under cruise details and cannot see or book any excursions.
That is the problem with the Canadian office licences. Until the get licenses as tour operator the Canadian office/website can not make anything but cruise bookings. They say it should be completed by year end.

Email your booking number to me at dechurchill @ cruiseshipcenters.com (no spaces) and I'll see what I can do. I've had no trouble linking my cruises to my profile.
I do know the issues with the Canadian office and they definitely weren't ready to hit the ground running, only after they opened did they learn they needed more than one license and there was no fall back in place. Also not being open after 6 pm or on weekends is another issue.

Use www.msccruises.ca and you should be able to create an account to link your cruise and see the details. If not let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

Is there a link on MSC website for pre-boarding shopping other than Martha Stewart? Such as drinks or souvenirs?

Too bad, hubby will just want Diet Cola and the price will be more than it's worth.
-
One other quick question, is there a soda package without all the fancy drinks? and if so, any idea of pricing?
-
- Thanks for the reply, it's not likely I'd have more than two drinks with alcohol and hubby will not have any. You've helped make our decision.

We will soon be doing a short sailing on the Meraveglia and are wonding about the cost of soft drinks and cocktails when you don't have a beverage package. Also the cost of drink purchases at Ocean Cay. Is is worth the price of the day cost here. The issue at hand is my husband doesn't drink alcohol, I do enjoy a cocktail or two but not a lot. Is it worth $60 to purchase the package for the day while on Ocean Cay?

Let me start this by saying with the new look on cruisecritic.com, I can't find a darned thing so I'm sure this has been asked and answered a dozen times. Is there a shuttle running from the Marseilles airport to the MSC ship in port and returning to the airport? If so does anyone know the current pricing and/or how to arrange passage on the shuttle?

Thanks everyone for the information. I'll be sure and bring my dancing shoes!

Looking at booking my first MSC cruise in the Mediterranean this coming October. Just a couple of questions if I may. Are there elegant/dress up nights? If so how many on a 7 night, port-intensive cruise? How dressy are these evenings? Flying from Canada, hoping to do a 20" carry-on.
Thanks.

I've sailed from Baltimore in March, no snow but cold and the seas are a bit rough for the first 2 days. Same thing on the return. Weather in Florida was wet, Bahamas was very nice, warm and sunny.

Again thanks to all who responded. Way I figure it, we will have a good time and enjoy each other's company regardless of what's is offered or isn't. I know this will be her last trip out of Canada so we're going to have a blast no matter what.

Thank you all for your responses.

When sailing on a casino rate, are there any other perks given? Unfortunately due to health reasons, this will be my mother's last cruise and it happens to be a casino rate in her name. I'm hoping there might be a little something extra just for the memory for her.

I think it was around $75.00.
Keith
Thank you.

We walked over to the parking lot and negotiated a tour by van for four hours.
That was sufficient time to see the island and to make a few stops.
Keith
Thanks for the info, by any chance do you remember the cost?
-
Seriously, there's not many cars on the roads there at all. The island is very small and golf carts are kinda the norm there. Not sure which reviews you read but there's nothing to it. The only difference in driving a golf cart there and on some back road in the middle of a small city in rural Utah would be you drive on the left. (Assuming you're in a very small city in rural Utah, I've personally never been there. lol)
I've never been to rural Utah either...lol. I'm actually 50 miles east of Toronto, Canada and drove to Toronto on a daily basis for work. I've never been anyplace in the US or Canada that I can not (or did not) drive. I do not drive in Mexico, Belize or the Bahamas (I can't drink enough to build up the courage).

You can rent a golf cart for under $100 and tour the island yourself. Go ahead and reserve the golf cart now, so you will secure one because they do sell out. Karib, Wet Money, Nathan's, Max Karts all rent. The island is very small (7 miles x 2 miles or something like that).. You can explore the entire island yourself and still have time for lunch. Stay away from Margaritaville and the port area. Get out and explore and have fun. :)
Thanks for the suggestion but I just read the reviews on driving rules and protocol for driving in Grand Turk and as adventurerous as I am, I'll take my chances with someone else doing the driving :D. I have driven in New York City on Monday morning at 9:30 and not gotten flustered, these reviews made me shiver...lol.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times, but with 72 pages here, it's easier to start over.
Is it possible to pick up an inexpensive island tour at the end of the pier? I've done this in many ports and hoping to do the same in Grand Turk.
Who feels good about an oct start date?

I just want to know if they keep adding up my OBC everytime my cruise gets cancelled?
