  1. We just got off the Anthem this morning, and our 3 year old took advantage of Adventure Ocean everyday, if not multiple times a day. They group kids 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, and everyone older is in a teen group. The different age groups are in separate rooms. The have morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, 9-12, 2-5, and 7-10. You can also sign up for your child to do meals (lunch or dinner) with the Adventure Ocean staff, although I think that fills up quickly. There were 200 three to five year olds on our cruise, and they only can take 30 per session, so you have to get in line about 15-30 min. prior to start of session to make sure your child gets a spot.

  2. My family and I just got off the Anthem this morning. In Port Canaveral we just took an Uber to Cocoa Beach Pier and rented some beach chairs and umbrella and had lunch. We wanted something laid back and relaxing. In Coco Cay, we just got off the boat and laid around there too. In Nassau, we walked around the town and did some shopping, walked to Junkanoo Beach, rented chairs and umbrella from Tiki Bikini Hut, had some lunch and drinks there, and then walked back to the boat. We had our three year old with us, so we didn't want to do anything too involved or busy. Just wanted a relaxing beach vacation!

  3. Hi everyone! I am on the Feb. 9, 2018 sailing on the Anthem of the Seas out of NJ. We're going to Cape Canaveral, FL and Nassau and Freeport, Bahamas.

Here's my issue... I just found out I'm pregnant. This cruise is already booked and I really really really do not want to cancel anything. Is there really a huge issue with Zika in the Bahamas? I mean if it's really that terrible, I could stay on the ship I suppose.

Any other pregnant women out there going on cruises in Zika locations? What did your OB suggest you do?

Any advise or information would be helpful. Thank you!

  4. I just got off the Victory yesterday. It was my 13th cruise overall, and we had such a good time! The food was good, service was amazing, entertainment staff and CD were top-notch and everything was wonderful. We had an aft balcony cabin, 7429... awesome room and amazing views from our balcony. We were always able to find chairs by either pool. The serenity deck was very nice and we never noticed kids up there. The Alchemy Bar is my favorite bar on the boat, the cocktails are amazing. She's dry docked right now, so there will be even more amazing additions (2.0 upgrades) when they're done.

  5. We just got off the Victory yesterday and were in an aft balcony room, 7429. It wasn't extended, but the extended balcony was right next to us and looks like they had an extra foot or so of space, so it was wider than ours. We didn't hear any substantial engine noise. However, when the boat is docking or leaving a port, you can feel some vibration, but it's not a big deal.

  6. I just got off the Victory yesterday. My favorite thing was the general laid-back feel of the whole boat and the service from the entire crew was top-notch. Also, we splurged a big and got an aft balcony room (7429) and it was SO AMAZING to watch the sunset and just hang out. Also, the Alchemy Bar has the best drinks ever.

  7. I am sailing on the Carnival Victory on 9/25 sailing. To my knowledge the Victory does not have the 2.0 upgrades, correct? It does have a serenity deck though, right? If the Victory does not have the 2.0 upgrades what are the best places to not miss? Are there secret hideaways? How many pools are there? How are the crowds around the pool? Any other tips will be much appreciated. Also, what excursion did you do in Cozumel?

    TIA

I just got off the Victory yesterday. She just went into dry dock yesterday, where's she's getting all the 2.0 upgrades. In fact, while we were eating breakfast, there was stuff being craned into the pool area and there were boxes everywhere. There is a serenity deck and it's nice. There's the big main pool in the middle of the Lido deck (deck 9), the adult-only pool in the back on the boat (deck 9), and two jacuzzi's in the serenity area. The main pool area gets crowded because it's the only place the kids can really swim. But there's plenty of seats all around that area, just have to get there earlier to get a chair. Don't miss the Alchemy Bar. Delicious cocktails and lovely company. In Cozumel, we took a taxi ($15 one way) to Paradise Beach ($3 pp entry fee) and spent the day there. It was great.

  8. My husband and I have been to Cozumel many times and about half the time we have rented mopeds. I will say that we were dumb college kids usually and I'm shocked no one got hurt. We were drinking and acting foolish. I did own a moped at the time, but still, it's better to not rent one in an unfamiliar place. I've heard so many horror stories about crashes and fatalities.

  9. My family and I are taking our son on his first cruise in February 2018. He'll turn three the day we sail. We've been potty training him since last weekend, and he's basically fully potty trained during the day. At night however, he wets the bed sometimes. I know on the cruise, he'll likely end up in our bed in between us. Does anyone have any experience with bed-wetting on cruises? Do you have your kids in pull-ups or something? How do you make it work?

  10. Hi everyone!

My husband and I are considering the Carnival Victory for New Years Eve. I see there are three interior rooms on Deck 6 available. 6289, 6291, and 6321. The first two are more of a square shape (looks that way from the deck plans) and the last one looks like a traditional style interior room.

Does anyone have actual pictures of these rooms to give me an idea of what they look like? Has anyone ever stayed in these rooms?

    Thanks!
