It was a nice treat. Even Olive Garden gives you chocolate. Just another cutback.

SS never appears busy to me. Tandoor was much better and complimentary. I didn't think Carnival nickel and dimes.

oops...that and the propulsion problem...time to rename her Sunset. Looks like the captain needs some training. The Breeze got a nice big dent in the first few months in Venice from a wind storm.

Overall the MDR, Buffet and Room Service on Carnival has severely declined in the last 12 years. So many cutbacks. I haven't noticed as many cutbacks or a decline in food quality on HAL. We stopped sailing Carnival as much as we used to due to all the cutbacks and lack of loyalty program.

When I've been at an all-inclusive or hotel, I really don't remember having to use my room key to sign for drinks and everything else I wanted to purchase while there, so I wouldn't always need convenient access to it.

To each their own. I still don't get where you would keep your cash or credit card at a hotel or resort and why people can't do the same on a ship. You have to pay somehow whether on a ship, beach resort, or hotel. I don't mind lanyards to a degree but again I just don't get the reason.

In my pocket or beach bag. Lanyards are tacky especially on elegant night. Never see people at beach resorts inclusive or not with lanyards. I don't get the purpose when they're not used in other resorts or hotels while on vacation.

Not sure most people believe JH as he is often wrong or inaccurate. Lots of hot air if you ask me.

If they do replace Tandoor I will need some kool-aid...Carnival doesn't nickel and dime....Carnival doesn't nickel and dime.

Brand new ship with issues, not good. Time to change its name to Sunset. ;)

Anyone who has Directv and hasn't received a significant discount over the last few years isn't trying. My Directv bill is half of what it used to be for the same package. A Carnival cut is a cut no other way to cut it. ;)

Carnival Cutbacks. CNN gets old fast. I guess JH bloviating about hotel charges vs Carnival is not as rosy as he makes it out to be. Go figure.

Sailed out of BCN about 4 years ago, went through port security walked past the liquor store and had to go through the ships security. Has this changed since then ? Cruising next month out of BCN on the Eclipse. Would be nice if we could take more than the 2 bottles of wine allowed per stateroom.

On both the Vista and Breeze you go past ships security but they didn't check bags or confiscate anything. Frankly you could bring booze on from any European port without being questioned. The Carnival goonies are not present or at least the Europeans don't police for Carnival. They would probably go on strike if they had to, lol.

San Juan and BCN. BCN because of what someone else said. The port of BCN duty free is after security so no rum runner police. ;)

Liquid Lounge is a huge disappointment. Is it me or are there lots of fee based restaurants being added?

When he was on the Breeze in Europe he was rude and thought he was better than everyone else. He owns a restaurant near me that does not do well. I expect it to close like many of his others. His burgers are great but a little too fatty. It will be interesting to hear about his recent trips.

The HC aft balconies are real 'true' balconies. My vote for chair compensation would be a TV aerial in its place. Now is chairgate a cutback or enhancement?

Breeze favorite, Vista least favorite. Sailed on: Triumph, Spirit 3x, Valor, Breeze 3x, Liberty, Inspiration, Miracle, Vista, Glory.

Carnival FC staff are often rude, impatient and their hours are very limited. Carnival tried to do away with TA’s years ago. Commission, collateral and support were cutback. When new management came in thankfully they realized the huge mistake of previous management. They are much more TA friendly nowadays. If they do cut the FC staff and roll it into the shore excursion desk hopefully that will make for a better experience. Now Royal does a first class job at the ‘Next Cruise’ desk. Carnival could learn a thing or two from that wonderful experience.

May I suggest eating at the steakhouse bar. The bartenders are always friendly and will chat if you'd like. I've ate at the bar a few times with my wife and it was great. Some of the other specialty restaurants have bars as well.

I've not seen a reduced price for bar dinners. If I remember that was all hot air....

I have eaten at the steakhouse bar a few times on the Breeze, even had the seats reserved. I thought all steakhouse bars had stools.
