Let's see, since I booked and made final payment for my 15 day cruise already, if I want the same experience as I thought I was getting it will cost me $30 to set up ocean now, $5 for each RS delivery (last cruise was at least once a day), and $30 each time we want to go to Alfredo's (and this is a TA so it is heavy on sea days.)

Don't drink alcohol and only drink one soda per day, don't drink foo foo coffee (just black thank you) and would only waste time if I had the internet on the cruise (had plus last cruise and spent to much time on Facebook for some reason) and would enjoy it less.  Have already given the family the information on how to call us if there is an emergency.  So no need there.  Could always go to the internet cafe if there was a real emergency (and couldn't get off in the middle of a TA anyway.)

So yeah, not pleased with princess taking away things I thought I had paid for.  And let's not mention the possibility of losing either the veteran's OBC or the shareholder OBC.

It has already come to pass that you can no longer claim the veteran AND the shareholder OBC - 1 only.

  2. Australian cruiser here. They are very strict about not applying for shareholder credit more than 90 days beforehand. In fact I applied at 89 days and was told it was too early and reapply in less than 90 days!

I was unaware of the policy change in regard to combinable OBCs, and so was refused SOBC as MOBC had already been applied.

The cruise was paid in full in May.

I am a bit narky that others have been able to have the credit applied waaay in the future, but because we have to wait till under 90 days to apply, it is "too bad, so sad".

  3. Currently on the Majestic Australia/New Zealand, and in C19 isolation. We are being given very little information - if we ask a question, it gets a different reply depending on who answers from guest services.

How do we go about claiming a FCC for days in iso?

Can we get laundry done? If so is it in super hot water? I ask this because our laundry linen goes into biohazard bags is is probably treated separately.

This is our last day of a South Pacific cruise, so we have to get off the ship for 2 hours tomorrow. We have been given transit passes which we have to show along with our passports to expedite our embarkation for the next cruise. No mention of a RAT requirement.

We are now on the second cruise. No RAT required (on the Majestic Princess). Easy turnaround day - just had to show our transit passes and then passport through customs to get back on the ship.  Luggage was left in our cabin, and was in our new cabin on reboarding. Masks are still compulsory indoors on this cruise unless actively eating or drinking.

    😃

We are on the Majestic Princess and having a great time. The next trip is to New Zealand. There have been very few reported cases onboard this trip, and less coughing and sneezing in public that I have ever seen on a ship

You don't know that for sure! Some cases are so mild that you will never realize you had it! My husband had it with very mild symptoms. I decided to test although I had zero symptoms.....not even so much as a runny nose......and tested positive for 11 days!!! I would never have known!

Yes I’m almost certain that I haven’t had it. I work in health care and I couldn’t begin to guess how many times I have been tested. We were issued with packs of 20 at a time to test daily (or even more often at times)

A recent news article just reported that only 1 in 20 haven't gotten COVID.  Count yourself as the minority.

Only for a little while longer, I bet, as we have a B2B2B coming up.

My husband has been asking if it's possible to have the latest vaccine as a booster. (Not eligible as we have already had 4 doses)

Milkshakes and smoothies at the ice cream hut - no. It does include mocktails, Some of those are milky, but not made with ice cream.

Fresh squeezed orange juice - it did until a couple of months ago, but sadly no longer. Processed juices are included. Everything from the coffee place is included, which includes hot chocolate.

Thank you. I would rather know now than be disappointed later. He will have to give the mocktails a whirl!!
