I am a newbie because I have only cruised one time. That said, if I ever cruised with a certain friend of mine(I wont) I would be tipping like crazy as an apology for her demanding ways. Otherwise I would be too embarrassed to face the steward or wait staff.

I didn't say the child has a cold. The OP wants to take the child on a cruise if he just has a cold. In my world having a cold is being sick. I did assume that it is hard to have fun if you are sick. And I wouldn't want to catch his cold if I were on that ship. I bet OP wouldn't want someone to take their child with a cold and make her son sick.

I missed work today because of a cold. I feel horrible. Why would you take a sick kid on a cruise? He won't feel well enough to have fun and he is contagious. What would you say if the situation were reversed? Would you advise someone to go on a cruise knowing they are sick and could expose your family to illness and ruin your cruise?

I have to have my Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer. I also like to save a large plastic cup, lid and straw from Circle K or Macdonalds so I can fill it with ice and water. Throw away the cup when cruise is over.

I just bought Tim Tams at Target!!! Maybe they are leftover from March?

I hoard all small empty containers I get my hands on. I reuse them when going on vacation and then dispose of them when empty. I have a little less to take home. My sister taked her old underwear, socks and nightgowns and throws them out instead of bringing them home. More room for purchases and less to unpack and launder.

My favorite is I take a small spray bottle and pour in one teaspoon of fabric softener. When I unpack I add one cup of water, mix and spray, shake and hang clothes. It's a knock off of Bount Wrinkle Release.

After losing a crown recently I will always take tempory cement for fillings and crowns. About $3-$4 at Walmart

I take large plastic drink cups with lid and straws from McD's for water. Toss it out on the last day.

To make your own mix one teaspoon fabric softener and one cup of water. Don't make too much because it doesn't seem to hold up. I've used it this way for years.

For travel I take a small empty spray bottle and pre measured fabric softener in a separate container. mix with water and spray.

My sister in law has a nice way of putting up boundries. She says "lets plan one excursion together and meet for dinner every night." That implies that most of time the couples are on their own.

I have only been on one cruise (saving for a second). I did so much CC reading I never ever felt like a new cruiser. It was such a relief to know what to expect.

OTC medicine. I would take it again though. I would hate to not have it.
