  3. There have been a number of postings on this forum and within particular threads thanking Nicole, our LCV Ambassador, and her team for dealing with cruise concerns and communications etc.

I agree wholeheartedly with those praises, especially after she and her office helped us on our latest cruise.

As I mentioned on assessing the latest LCV newsletter, I don't know if any other cruise line has a similar dedicated staff, and since her appointment a number of concerns seem to have been resolved appropriately.

I know from this forum that, for British travellers, Mr. Twynam(sp?) seems to be providing equally terrific care.

Thanks to Larry P. and his Miami office for providing these paths to address issues and increase enjoyment of our Azamara experience. The decision to create the offices, at least from our perspective, seems to have certainly been worthwhile.

Here, here! Nicole has been of terrific help to us, when it seemed that no one else could help. She's an asset to the company. Wishing Nicole and all her team (however big or small) all the best for the festive season. Jenny and Neil.

  4. Hi

Is anyone having issues logging onto their 'my Azamara' log in. Our two logins no longer take the length of our user names (and yes I do have the correct ones), when I request the user name or password it says there are two usernames registered to that email address (yes that is correct) log an IT request, I follow the web link to the 'report a problem' and fill it out, (it takes me to a Celebrity Site). I have requested this twice in 6 weeks and don't hear anything back. Can someone (Bonnie) help me with who I go to sort this frustrating issue out?

  5. Please....let's bury this thread deep so that my wife does not see the comment about the spa showers. If she does, game over for me and my son. We'll be banished to the spa every mornign I fear....and I plan to stay as far away from the workout facility as possible on this trip!:)

No, seriously, thanks for all of the great advice here. Will be finding an agent, and unless pricing changes, will very likely go with the three veranda cabins. Its a good deal on the double upgrade, and this way everyone gets a bed and minimized bathroom issues (4 women, 3 bathrooms...and a displaced father and son in the spa....)

Club Continent rooms would have been fun, but since we are tagging stops in Spain, Florence and Rome along on this trip, she's adding up fast!

Can't wait to surprise my mother-in-law with this trip. She has dreamed of visiting Europe for years but a complicated life has just never really allowed it. She deserves it and we are going to show her a great time!

Enjoy, you will LOVE Azamara and they will most definitely make your mother-in-law feel special!!!

  6. This is a question that is making me wonder? We're on this cruise yet there is very few advertised azamara excursions to Jerusalem and Bethlehem? Can anyone provide any insight? Is it due to the political climate, the chance the itinerary might change or they just haven't been updated yet? Seeing the title of the cruise includes Jerusalem I would have expected there'd be shore excuse to at least there. Any thoughts?

  7. In summary whist I sometimes enjoy Asian food and live amongst a large Asian population with great cheap Asian fare I would NEVER pay for it on a cruise line. The 'romance' for me with Azamara is stilling on the back deck, (Sunset Bar) drink in hand watching the wake. Especially during warmer voyages where the sun stay up late:) I believe this needs to stay accessible for ALL guests not just those who want to dine 'Asian'. I would be very disappointed to 'lose' this space. It holds the happiest of memories for us as it is.

  8. I second Nordski in thanking you, aussiebird, for your reflections. You've made me remember my various travel plans that didn't go off as planned and then in the end were better than we had planned.

Yep, life's an adventure, the good, the bad and the ugly! First world problem here. What a wonderful world it would be if those energies where directed to third world problems. Safe travels everyone, that's the bottom line today!

  9. I have read all the previous posts with interest. It's clear and it's human nature that no one feels comfortable with change. But change can be good. It's a chance to embrace new beginnings, new experiences. You will always have your old and dear Azamara memories. I know we will.

It's disappointing for those that have cancelled itineraries, but look at the number of times the unexpected and the unplanned happen (in life as well!). The unexpected has certainly happened in Azamara's world before and they made the best effort they could given the circumstances. And we know also! We've had major last minute delays in the past (6 days late getting out of Australia), like we were on our way to the airport, due to a volcanic ash cloud in 2010 and more recently on May 1, a days flight delay due to mechanical issues, thankfully on the ground and not in the air. Both milestone wedding anniversaries plans in disarray at the last minute.

As with everything that we find Azamara do, they do it very well, with the utmost considerations for their guests, crew and staff's safety and comfort. Some of you will be happy and some will not, its human nature. It's so difficult in any line of business to keep everyone happy all the time.

We too would be disappointed to see the demise of our beloved Sunset Bar for that of a paid Asian speciality restaurant. We can go to an Asian restaurant anytime at home, but we can only sit and watch the oceans wake on Azamara.

Pleased to say this time our stars appear to be aligned and hopefully we'll be doing B2b 32 night post dry dock from April 15. But you know, in the big scheme of things, life's unpredictable and anything could happen. We're happy to role with the changes, after all it's a business.

  10. Our first cruise was on the Galaxy too, very fond memories of our family Greek Island cruise. Philip Herbert was hotel director and we now prefer the azamara quest where he is hotel director!
