  1. you have to look under balconies when you are looking to book one of these rooms ( you can look under interiors, but I usually find them under balconies more often) but they do book very quickly.  We have a PVP who helps us with our bookings and he was able to help us book 4 cabanas on the Vista last Oct (2023) for a Dec 2024 sailing and I was very surprised that we were able to get 4 of them on a sailing 1 week before Xmas 1 year out

Awesome, thanks!  What about the credit cards for the sail and sign accounts?  Did they let your brother in law use his card on one after the switch?

When you do your check in before hand you can assign whatever payment method you want for each person.  So when we check in - i will have my credit card, my brother in law will have his own, and in the other cabin, my husband will have the same credit card I do and my sister in law will have whatever card they choose for her to use because those are all set up at check in.

And to make it more fun, I unusually take cash with us and go down to guest services the 2nd to last day and basically pay off all our charges so we have pretty much a $0 balance and nothing goes on our credit cards, they are just there as a final back up

  3. yep, just actually did this with my husband and myself and my step-brother and his wife (my husband/my sister-in-law in one cabin, myself and my step-brother in one cabin)  the only catch is you have to go stand in line at guest services to get extra cabin keys on the first day so you can get into the correct cabins for the whole week

  4. It doesn't have to do with your booking matching your ID when you board the ship but when you are debarking your cruise and are going through customs - if you are traveling on a birth certificate and a drivers license you have to be able to bridge the name change for the government to be allowed to re-enter the United States.  If you travel with a passport you have already provided all that proof

  5. We go to Grand Turk in about 40 days and I had to double check that my Mom met their definition of fully vaccinated (need to make sure she didn't need a booster shot).

On their web site they state that Proof of vaccination (a digital or a paper copy) to be shown upon arrival

I would guess when you get off the ship if you cannot produce a proof of vaccination you will not be allowed off of the ship

I have had the scrub with massage three times. Each time they have given me a pair of disposable undies to put on. You lay on your back the entire time for the scrub and the only awkward moment is when they ask you to sit up to do your back. Because it that point you are exposed on the top. Make sure you have something to keep your hair up and off your neck and back. After the scrub you take a shower and lay back down for the massage. If you get unlucky like I did once and there is not a shower in your treatment room, you will be provided a robe to get to the shower and back. I have terrible dry bumpy skin and I have to say the treatment makes my skin softer than I have ever felt it. The first time I was given a hard sell after the treatment. They used the info I filled out when I arrived for the treatment to sell me on products that could solve my muscle aches, stress etc.  The last 2 times I was not given a hard sell but I also left out all that info on my form those times. One thing I did notice that confused the hell out of me was the way they bill for it. I book pre-cruise and pay with a credit card when I book. When I was done I was given a receipt that included the massage, the gratuity and the option to add additional gratuities to sign. On my sail and sign account the original amount paid by credit card was credited to my sail and sign account and the new amount with gratuities was charged. It can be confusing when you see it.

    Hope you enjoy the treatment!

all of this, but the only thing I will say is that you don't have too use the disposable panties (at least I didn't)   I am fluffy and they do not fit me and are very uncomfortable.  Also the flipping over portion every time I have gotten a massage the tech was very careful to help me keep the sheet in place to cover everything while I turned over.

No problem with the once per day but it will be my choice as it is my vacation.  I am someone who naturally picks up after myself to the point of making my bed (habit what can I say) BUT I do tend to wonder around more at night which results in sleeping in so it would need to be an evening make-up.  I completely and totally respect the cabin steward but they have to have some flexibility as well.  The comment of one of the stewards saying they get off at 1:30 so their son could not sleep in honestly is a concern for me.

I didn't say they get off at 1:30, they told me they were done working in this area at 1:30, I took that to mean they had an other position they had to be at after that.  A lot of employees work in more that one location every day.  I know our bartenders from the Havana Bar were on Lido periodically and worked at one of the other bars during the evening also

  8. On the Horizon a couple of weeks ago I tried to request evening cleaning as we had a 15yo with us and he likes to sleep in the mornings and our steward said he only works there till 1:30 and so he would put us last on the rotation.  So I had to make sure our son was up and out of the cabin by around 1130 so that we could get it picked up (and I wanted my towel animals)

  9. We had absolutely no privacy issues 2 weeks ago.  We spent  a lot of time sitting on our porch area looking out over the ocean and relaxing.  Even my 15yo spent quite a bit of time out there when he wasn't at club O2.  Late in the evening (dinner time) or late morning there would be people passing by headed from their Havana cabin to the back deck (or back to their cabin) but it wasn't like  steady stream of people all day

Yeah, I'll bet they axed that perk. I'd rather be able to wash my "flying home" outfit for free than to have a free bottle of water (I get that anyways..lol). Oh well. Maybe I'll pack a Tide Pod & do a load in the launderette.

There are no guest laundry (that I could find) on the Horizon or I would probably have done a load of laundry before we came home
