Is it me or on the new UK website you cannot view the prices anywhere for the diferent stateroom grades after you have selected a cruise.
-
Just checking the prices again and I think there maybe some website issues, prices back up again..
-
Appears there have been some sizeable reductions to the cruise prices today on the UK site.
Anyone in the uk had experience of cancelling and rebooking at the new price?
i guess we would lose deposit and obc but at the moment the prices are showing as £671 less each (like for like) for a cruise booked for October 2019 so we would be better off.

Just overhearing a conversation by other guests who claim the noise in their stateroom on deck 8 has been made worse by the new floor on the Lido restaurant on the deck above. Even claiming they needed earplugs to get some peace at 5am.
The new carpets all look very nice, show the fluff a lot on the stairways and almost need vacuuming constantly.
Nice new chairs and tables outside too.
No other changes as far as I can tell, same shower curtain in Britannia staterooms.

Happy New Year to all from aboard Queen Elizabeth.
From previous posts I think there may be a few others aboard enjoying a far better day in Amsterdam than last year!

I have video too, but won’t upload that...I never checked whether it was QE or QV before posting.
Yes disappointing to miss Bruges last year, fingers crossed for this time.

Hi, not stayed at the Wessex so cant really comment, but fortunate to work in Winchester.
However, had heard that the decor is a little tired inside the Wessex.
Can’t beat the central location though and to be honest there isn’t a huge amount of choice of hotels in the centre.
-
The Wessex hotel is the most central with rooms overlooking the Cathedral. There are others including The Royal which is also in the centre.
Winchester is lovely in the summer where you sit in the Cathedral grounds and watch the world go by.
Plenty of places to eat, some very notable; The Ivy, Rick Stein, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall.
You could take a guided tour, but is easy to find most places yourself including the Great Hall, King Arthur’s Round Table, City Museum, Winchester College, Jane Austen’s house and of course the Cathedral.
As others have said, easy to get to from either London or Southampton with regular direct trains.
-
Including the choice of petit fours in the menu now rather than it being a nice surprise.
Appears that there are now more dessert choices too

After all the earlier rain today, clear blue skies here now on the south coast.
Wishing I was onboard one of the Queens, sitting on deck waiting for the Red Arrows to fly overhead.

We have done the Cunard St Petersburg Explorer twice now, the last time being two weeks ago on QE.
Is a great way to see the city, the first stop is at St Isaacs Cathedral where you get around 50 minutes to wander around on your own. The coach then takes you close to the Church of the Spilled Blood where you have around 1 hour 45 minutes on your own.
Back to the coach and then you are taken to Nevsky Prospekt near to Alexandrinsky Theatre where you can continue exploring. You get around 3 and half hours here. It only takes a few minutes for the coach to drive between stops and saves walking.
If you like exploring on your own then this excursion is great, plenty of time to get around and do your own thing.
You are given a map with all the main places highlighted.

Would agree that they are all allocated and no “free” tables for two. We had a table for 2 and there were quite a number in the Britannia MDR.
Enjoy your cruise OP, disembarked QE this morning after 2 glorious weeks around the Baltics.
-
Would it be fair to say if you receive the brochure with printed luggage labels, you won’t get upgraded?
Would be interested to hear if anyone has the labels, got upgraded and then printed their own labels.
-
Slightly off topic, but since others have mentioned the different levels, are there any other levels of status other than silver, gold, platinum and diamond.
I am fairly sure I have seen a black tabbed stateroom card.
-
It may be coincidence but the price fir the Baltic cruise on 10 June appears to have halved in the last two weeks. There are now saver fares too, appears to be availability in all stateroom grades.

The weather last night and this morning in the south of England was atrocious with driving rain and high winds which might have impacted the navigation route.
Onboard now and just heard that QV will not be stopping at Zeebrugge due to the weather and will be going direct to Amsterdam for NYE. To be expected given the recent weather.
-
According to met office sea state rough to high seas, with force 9 wind, might have docked a day early due to the weather. QV back to Southampton on Friday and off to Bruges and Amsterdam for NYE. Let’s hope the winds drop and the sea state calms.

We were charged for drinks ordered by another table in the Chart Room on QV in September.
Spotted it when we received mid voyage statement.
Went down to see the purser who went through all the receipts for that night and found one for the same amount, it hadn’t been signed by the guests which I didn’t think could happen.
They refunded us no questions asked but expect it was followed up.

On Queen Victoria last month you could get small cartons of either skimmed or whole milk from the Lido at breakfast. We took a carton from breakfast and kept it in our fridge to put in our coffee, lasted a few days in the fridge too. Didn’t need to use the long life sachets.
-
Free washing powder capsules on Queen Victoria earlier this month. I found if you get the timing right you can get washing done quickly, if you get it badly timed there can be a queue.
Still, always meet interesting people in the launderette who have stories to tell.
-
On the QV, all aboard and sail away time is published as 10:30pm Greek time. I feel for you, we have just got here from Heathrow leaving early this morning.
-
Presumably there are other sockets in the cabin that can be used with a plug that has a lead exiting it at the bottom?
-
Thanks for all the helpful comments, looking forward to being able to make a cuppa without leaving the room.
New Cunard Website
in Cunard Line
Posted
After logging into the new site, I clicked the link to My Cunard and the Manage Existing Bookings and thought great! I will be able to view all future booked cruises in the same place.
Sadly, took me to the regular log in your booking page where you have to enter the booking reference etc..
I do hope they are working on this as it will be an improvement to see the bookings all together.
