I am sailing in a PH next May. Can you ask if the beds can be divided? I get both yes and no answers from posters here.
Thank you. Looking forward to your posts.
Laura
Yup. Frequent PH Summit passenger- beds can be split. Best cabin in whole fleet btw!

Still on the fence about sailing out of Bayonne on last day of July… following closely to push me one way or the other!

$18,000 for a 7 night cruise in the Penthouse Suite. Oh, please, get real!
Exactly!
I was stunned when my agent quoted me that price. Holding a summer Med cruise in a PH that is a better price. And while I love the M-class ships PH rooms, I have heard the Infinity is only partially revolutionized so won't be biting at this.

I read on a different thread that for cruises leaving this weekend they are doing free tests provided by Celebrity at the port. Please check with Celebrity as I don't have independent knowledge.
Yes, the email we received was clear free testing at the port, but we aren’t having any problems finding free Antigen testing elsewhere tomorrow. May well be worth it to know our status prior to arrival at the port Sunday.
-
We received the email re testing as we were driving to our hotel from FLL. We board Equinox Sunday and it is Friday night. Good gravy! What if we are asymptomatic positive? We don’t think we are but how would we know? It would be so cruel to be so close to being onboard and (understandably) have it scuttled. We may try to find an antigen test around here tomorrow, just to rest easy - or make alternate plans!!

The carbonara is SOOOOO good. In fact, we got the recipe and make it at home - and it's delish in our kitchen, too! But it is better when someone else does the shopping, cooking, and clean-up!

We find the length of the dinner at Murano to be excessive - we've had many a spectacular fine dining experience on land that doesn't take so many hours! LOL! And we find the carbonara in Tuscan beyond tasty. When we stay in a PS or RS, we actually book Tuscan every other night!

Hello:
Considering a sailing on her 8/1. Anyone know at what passenger capacity she will be sailing?
TIA.

But they are...
12 Days Greece/Turkey/Black Sea
Celebrity Cruises • Celebrity ApexRome/Civitavecchia, Limassol, Haifa, Ashdod, Kusadasi, Athens/Piraeus, Katakolon, Rome/Civitavecchia1 departure dates: Sep 23 2022Any reason given for the pull off??
Thanks for that… I should have been clear we were looking for a summer sailing. September won’t work for the work schedules.
in terms of no Israel, the quote from the email is, "as we thoughtfully plan our return to service, we are evaluating all current itineraries and the status of travel conditions around the world. This means some of our sailing’s will need to be modified." -
Disappointed… though not surprised. Received email late this afternoon. If Israel stops were on an X itinerary for next summer, we’d look to reschedule but, alas.
Good comfort and counsel to be found on our roll call… at least there’s that!

In RS or PH, your land concierge will, about 2 weeks out from sailing, send along the above attachments in addition to spa menu and the menus for each of the specialty restaurants.

-
-
1) You will be contacted by a land concierge within 2 weeks of your sail date
2) concierge will want to know your liquor bottle/beer/wine/ non-alcohol beverage preferences for room, specialty dining dates and time preferences, bed/pillow preferences, spa appointment or shore excursion requests, and if there are any allergies to note
3) it has never been an issue to have all of these above requests honored (in other words, never did we not get preferred restaurants and times)
4) when contacted by the land concierge and sailing on Edge/Apex/Revolutionized PH or RS that's when we request the monogrammed robes and also make personal training appointments for gym. On Edge, in their top suites, can also request an exercise bike for stateroom.
Enjoy your sailing...

We are heading on our sailing on the Summit in a PH before too long.... building anticipation among the family... saw photo of monogramed robes but now cannot locate on the board after several attempts to search. Anyone have a snap of such they can share as I build up the family towards the daily countdown towards the sailing?
Many thanks in advance!

Here is what we have so far:
1) St Thomas. Caribbean Sail to Christmas and Honeymoon (6 hours)
Will like to hear your thoughts....
Well, after doing the sail to Honeymoon in St. Thomas (and almost every other sailing/beach excursion ever offered) we finally plucked up the courage to do something on our own there... we took a water taxi over to Water Island and rented a golf cart to explore the island and hang at the beach. All very easy to pull off and worth it... it was super fun. Highly recommend it - you can find all the info out with a couple of quick google searches.

When in a PH or RS we usually have dinner once or twice on the deck... it is wonderful. We have always been given the menus for all specialty restaurants (except Qsine, though we were told we could make a request from there if we wished - we did not).
But the most memorable dining experience was when our butler, upon hearing we liked Indian food, offered to present us with an authentic Goan banquet. Dish after dish, course after course, graciously came to our room, piping hot, absolutely delectable. Food prepared just for us - not off any menu.
We were exceedingly thankful to our butler for the kind offer and the memorable experience. It was exceptional. We travel the world to learn and try and live, and this checked all those boxes.

Our next PH is on an upcoming Summit sailing and I'm sorry that the piano is, indeed, gone. Brought us much joy over the years, but we understand how challenging they are to keep up in private accommodations at sea.
Ultimately our view is that the PH is worth the step beyond Royal in the Millennium-Class ships, but not so for the Solstice-class ones. We'll stick to RS on those.
-
Following! We have been on the Summit many, many times and it is our favorite! We next hop on board her for a sailing to the ABC islands and cannot wait. Thanks for taking us all along with you - enjoy!

Qsine still showing up on my app for our December Summit cruise... menus included.
-
I was under the impression the restaurant on the Summit had been changed to PC, but the app is showing the old version of Qsine menus each day. Is PC not on Summit, or is this a glich in the app for our December sailing??
-
We are excited for our PH on Summit in under two months... and your pictures only added to that feeling. We were in her PH when the bathrooms had just been redone... but now this new overhaul will make it a new experience yet again.
But, guess what, we'll miss the piano. I know it was a bear to upkeep... but there was something just so frivolous, lighthearted, and awesome about playing the piano in one's own stateroom on a sea day. Ah, well... at least we have the smiles and memories of it.
Thanks for those great photos.

In almost 20 sailings we have never cruised during Christmas... a first for everything! We are fortunate to be in a premium suite. Am I batty thinking about packing along a few small Christmas trees to make the cabin more festive?!? We already typically pack the indoor and outdoor lights to make it more magical on the veranda. Someone talk me out of fa-la-la-ing our lovely digs... but, on the other hand, it might be just the thing. Thoughts???
Your thoughts? Given "supply chain" and other issues, better to hold off on spontaneous July Summit Bermuda sailing?

So reading the struggle of many to have recent sailings be comprable to previous ones, better, you think, to hold off on an impromptu sailing this summer to Bermuda (an itinerary we have never done) on a ship we know like the back of our hand? Typically I would say that a week at sea has to be better than a week on land, no matter the conditions, but maybe COVID and the global supply chain have thoughts on that.
What are yours??
