For those who have received refunds, did you get any type of email or notification that the refund was issued? Or did you find out by noticing the credit on your credit card or when new gift cards pleasantly showed up in your mail?
No notification from Carnival or my TA. I had to keep checking my credit card account until I finally saw the refunds.

As these posts have shown, there's absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how Carnival is addressing refunds. Doesn't matter how you booked or when you booked.

FINALLY...refund for cruise has been processed. Requested refund on March 30th, and it took until June 13th but it was finally processed on my credit card.
-
My TA confirmed with Carnival our bookings were just now cancelled and the refund request is with Carnival accounting dept. Hoping not much longer now. Apr 11 cruise cancelled Mar 27 and our formal cancellation request from our TA to Carnival placed on Mar 30.

Any refunds to a credit card that has been closed out will require the credit card company to send you a check. Call the credit card company now to confirm that is what they will do. You may need to make a request for them to do so after the money is attached to the account, but you should call them now to confirm the process.

Happy for everyone who has received refunds or FCC, but very frustrated for those of us still awaiting refunds, especially if we've canceled before others who have received theirs.

Cruise cancelled Mar 30, for Apr 11 sailing - alerted TA we wanted full refund
Received refunds on shore excursions and ship purchases - May 8 & May 12
Still waiting on refund for cruise itself...

It's hilarious to read about people complaining about other people complaining.

Cruise was supposed to sail April 11th. Cancelled through TA on Mar 30th. No refunds as of yet. Based on being told to wait 60-90 days, we're looking at late June but I'm optimistic based on earlier posts we may see something sooner. But I believe if we do, it'll be luck and not because of any logical systematic approach from Carnival
-
We cancelled on Mar 30, and the TA was told by Carnival to expect a 60-90 time frame for refunds, and allow for the full time for the refund to be processed. So I guess we won't see anything potentially until the end of June.

Has anyone whose cruise was cancelled and requested a refund received it yet?

So it's Monday and I have 24 hrs to cancel my Apr 11 cruise and still we wait for them to announce that its canceled. Good work...

I’m booked for April 18. Supposedly my deadline to cancel with no penalty is March 31. Although I am hoping Carnival cancels it for me I would bet they cancel it April 1, after the deadline...
I'm booked for Apr 11th, and totally agree with you. That's exactly what they will do.

FYI, we're on an Apr 11th cruise and both my TA and Carnival confirmed full refunds were not available at this time, and confirmed the current policies posted on Carnival's site.

We are supposed to sail on the Magic in 4 weeks. Has anyone recently been on a trip where you could tell the ship was not full at all? Wondering if folks are really cancelling in large numbers. Can't get Carnival on the phone ever right now...

thanks again everyone for your comments. glad we switched when we did as pricing went up a good bit last week.

Anyone have the Fun Times for the Fascination's 5 night trip to Nassau and Freeport? Thanks in advance!

Would also like to hear from anyone who's been there. We'll be there in a couple weeks. Signed up for the Excursion with Open bar. Will drop a review when we get back.

Been in 7301 on Pride (and going again this spring). Room is awesome and no elevator noise....

My first 4 cruises were on that ship...the first 3 were Jazz cruises (inside cabins), and the 4th was my honeymoon (splurged for one of the suites with the wraparound balconies). Miss that ship greatly...

Has anyone done this excursion? Did you enjoy it?

Just canceled our early Apr cruise...figured I'd save the hassle making another final payment and then waiting months to collect the money back
