  1. Back on board with you again!

Wish we were truely on board!!

4 more weeks of school! LOL!!

Love that Havana pool! Enjoyed that on Horizon very much.

Your amber cove cabana is the only one we have not had yet too!

Love those pool cabanas! Sometimes I have a passing thought

that we are missing something else on the island, but then

get to that cabana and forget all about that thought...

Looking forward to your adventures in the ABCs!

Will will be on the Celebration run down to the ABCs this July! Woot!

This instrument is cool. It plays bells on the top of the building.

Thanks so much for posting your vaca again!

We are doing the ABC itinerary in July - love seeing the preview!

That instrument with the bells is called a carillon.

I used to play a regular Saturday carillon concert in the last town I lived in.

    Fun instrument!

We sleep in a bit. But that meant we got to see Sparkle doing his sparkle stuff. I wonder how many people ask if his last name is Farkle? (IYKYK)

And of course, because we are steerage we walk the pier and received no musical greeting. 😉

Thanks for sharing your adventures with us again!

We have had those middle 2 pool cabanas a couple times - love it!

I always look at other excursions (rented a jeep our first time on the island),

but have stuck with the cabana since then!

  4. Thanks for sharing your vaca with us all!

I especially enjoyed your review of Aruba and Curacao,

we will be going there (and Bonaire) this coming summer for the first time.

We were thinking of doing the tour on aruba you shared,

but it seems like several places are just ruins of nice things

to see from the past. I think we will stick to going to the beach,

just need to decide Eagle or Baby - or maybe both! Long day at port...

Yes,  Vista did have the machine with the beans at the top on the Lido.  I saw them empty the grinds from the bottom.  That coffee was fine.

I agree - Those new machines with the beans on top do a much better job than the older machines on older ships that use the bag of liquid concentrate. The lido coffee on Mardi Gras was just fine.

Although if you want the specialty coffees - i.e. capachino, machiato, etc..., Java Blue is the place to go.

  6. My wife went through a similar situation on our Horizon sailing a few years ago.

She shared with our server her intolerance for a few ingredients.

While the intolerance happens when those couple of ingredients are uncooked,

and it varies day by day, some days there is no issue, other days there is an issue.

But no issues when those ingredients are cooked. They had difficulty understanding the details,

similar to your details the way you described them.

Almost all of her dishes were prepared individually for her, and they were rough.

After the first evening of that, she did not mention it again, and if those ingredients were

on a dish, and were raw - like in a salad - she left them on the plate.
