Just watched Seaside leaving on the webcam. Thanks for your review.
-
I’m on this cruise & we’re in port 7am-2pm. It’s says on our info.
Â
None of the port times are generous on the itinerary.
-
Looking forward to your review. We’ll be on it 10nov.
-
Another fab review. Thank you for sharing.

Manchester airport is linked to al,terminals by the skywalk. In the centre is a Radisson SAS hotel. Plus you can park in any long stay terminal multi-storey car park.
Â
I don't recommend the offsite ones if your looking for a quick access, however if you do decide to go for a cheaper option we have used the Aph parking about 10mins bus trip from any terminal.
Â
Â
We use holiday extras to book through as often a few pounds cheaper..

The whisky bar on deck 7 had big screens & footy on during the Euro's.

We were in Haven 11-18June sailing 11:30am flight Ho,e. We got priority disembarking & was off the ship before 8:20. No queues for taxis but not many waiting either. We got to march polo before 9am but queued at Easy Jet bag drop for 30mins. Venice was a disaster no logical system & the Easy Jet Drop only had 2 desks open when they opened the auto bag drop they let people from back of the queue up front. 🤔 The queue to Security was slow moving but then they started letting people through the fast track section.
Â
If I ever did Venice again I'd come home Sunday.

What was the local time when you arrived? We are doing the 8 day out of Venice on Jade leaving July 15th. Our time into Santorini is 2:00 pm with a 10:00 pm departure. We are doing a sunset/snorkeling tour and I am worried about having enough time to get back if the que is that long. Just wondering if you arrived in the morning or afternoon. This is my biggest concern for our trip.
Â
We were meant to be 8-4 but they shifted us to 10-6. We were in Haven so were on 1st tender & in port by 10:20. If you are in with other ships & they get there early I think you'll be ok for 2pm just make sure if you do go up to Firia that you leave ample time to either wait for the cable car or walk down the donkey trail steps (35-40 min walk)

My aunt had been before on a small ship & she had said that they was no way you could appreciate the beauty of the island with everyone on top of one & other.
Â
I think they'd be better docking at 12 & leaving say 7pm having slightly less time in port to get the crowds down as it did ease off at 3:30pm as the other 3 ships left around 4:30-5:00pm.

While I enjoy Santorini, Kusadasi is a not to be missed port. It is a shame that the political situation means that you have to miss that beautiful area. I will say to the OP that four medium sized ships is a light load for Santorini. I have been there when there have been 10 ships in a single day and it is not crowded at all, so I'm not sure how four could be an issue.
Â
I'm sorry but 8k plus people all trying to get where they needed to be in such a small place is a lot of People. It did cause issues with a cable car queue & tendering as the port is only small to cater for all the excursion boats & tender boats.
-
I agree except that on Kusadasi you can go on the Ephesus Tour! That was one of the highlights of our trip.
Â
Santorini is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I would like to go back and stay there for a week. I understand they have some beautiful resorts.
Â
Santorini was beautifully but would have been better if only 2 ships had of been in port. Or even if we'd have gone to a different Greek island.
-
We had 3 adults in the 2 bed haven on the Jade. 1 in main bedroom, 1 in sofa & I used the smaller room. I manage fine & we all coped for a week. If there's going to be 2 using the main bedroom I think you & your brother will be ok in lounge & smaller room.

NCL have dropped a ball by going to Santorini instead of Turkey. Our captain already delayed our tender time into santorini by 2hrs but it wasn't enough.
Â
Santorini was a nightmare 4 mid size ships in port at same time meant the narrow streets were jam packed, you couldn't see anything, stop to take time to view anything.
Â
Queues were really long & in the end people just pushed in line. No one knew where they were going. They just couldn't cope with us all in port at same time.
Â
RC & MSC still visited turkey so hopefully NCL may reconsider port choices or delay the tender till mid afternoon after the other 3 ships guests have done their tours.
Â
Really enjoyed the cruise, weather was hit & miss but can't be helped. We had a Haven cabin whic was Bliss. Wasn't too keen on the flow of the ship. I prefer the ships where you can walk round the top decks with having to swap side at certain point in the decks.
-
This ... agreed.
Â
BTW - what is a dickybird?
Â
Hi means not heard anything.
Â
Â
not a dicky bird
informal Not a word; nothing at all:
‘Did you hear from her?’ ‘Not a dicky bird.’
Dicky bird being rhyming slang for 'word
-
Thank you.
-
Thanks we are in the haven 2 bed & not heard a dickybird.
Â
I'm sure my aunt will keep the conceirge busy when we board.
-
Is this just a USA pre-cruise option as I've not heard anything & we sail on the Jade in less than 2wks.
Â
Tia :)

Loving your review & pictures. Thanks Gambee for all the details :D

The shanghai noodle Chinese place was lovely. I like moderno but as a fussy meat eater I was limited to 3-4 cuts rather than the full 10.
Â
There's always food available at the outdoor section of the buffet on deck 15 so yes kids can grab pizza/burger & other snacks.
-
Wait till on board & you can buy any package individually.
-
Think it's crew area.
-
I second the noise from spice. We were on deck 11 in 11318 2wk ago & could here the booming music from spice most nights.
-
I think they did near the yoghurt section. If not they def had them in the taste restrurant.

We flew last year jfk to Heathrow on the window seat with the back wall of the other rows facing us our pics are below.  I think if you get the window/aisle they face each other but at an angle. The beds easy to get in & out off, as we had a night flight home we didn’t really speak. Â
