  1. If you can book the shows you want to see before you leave home I'd suggest you do. A few of the blue man group shows were sold out on last weeks cruise & the dream girls.

The resturants you can book while on board there's plenty of screens about the ship that show you what's full & when's available.

  3. Still undecided about TA Kim' date=' maybe?

Someone asked if there is a perfume shop on board, there certainly is, I had a cheeky spray of perfume every night. I had my eye on a Calvin Klein perfume it was $65 onboard and I did not buy it. I saw it in Barcelona airport and it was reduced from €55 to €29 euros.

Another question was about duty free shop in Barcelona port, I think there were 3 or 4 shops, 2 of which sell alcohol, 1 wine the other spirits. This year we bought 2 bottles of wine, the scanner was set up just before entering the ship but no one was manning it. If you're undecided you can always get on the ship to check security and then go back to duty free, it's not far.

OP great report, it sounds like we did totally different things and both had a great trip![/quote']

Thanks ill prob ask my cousin to check barcelona airport on her way home so can see if best price us away on ship, airport or Debenhams. ;)

  4. I just had a look at your sailing on the US NCL site and there are insides, balconies, and mini suites available. The MX comes out at around £1040 per person after a rough conversion from USD. They still have B1 and that's showing at £1010 per person. Those are the prices after taxes. Obviously the UK would have different price points but hopefully that gives you an indication.

I don't know why NCL UK and NCL US doesn't show the same thing - we had this happen when looking at prices, too.

Thank you for this. The prices are little more than we paid. Mum will ask if booking early was the best choice least I can now say that yes it was since last minute doesn't always mean cheaper.

  5. That sounds like a different situation. You call and ask if a cabin upgrade might be available; that might be the only way.

I suppose they could have sold cabins to the UK travel agencies who are still marketing "their" cabins; if so, "their" cabins are only available the that TA's clients. In NCL's mind, such a cruise is sold out.

Or maybe cabins are available via NCL but they are not putting them on the website.

How are the prices of better cabins on the travel agency site?

Thanks for this reply, that makes sense. The prices for a mini suite are about £899 but we've an aft balcony which I'm not giving up. It was more a idea on pricing for future reference than a change.

  6. I don't think it's sold out as it's available on some uk cruise sites. Just not showing any prices on ncl just says email for info or request callback. I'm happy with the cabin chosen just curious about prices for higher cabins this close to sailing.

  7. If your cruise is within 45 days & is no longer showing as been able to be booked via NCL website how can you view the prices? Or even see if a higher class cabin is a worthy cost to upgrade?

Do you just ring them & see what's available?

  8. I use a type of lanyard that clips onto the waistband of your pants and has a retractable cord on it. I clip it on the waistband of my pants and then my top covers it and no one can see it. I even use it on my dress pants. It is always handy and no one will know you are wearing one. I purchased it in the gift shop on board. I also bought one at a local store. I like it better than wearing it around your neck. It also keeps it from getting demagnetized from any electronic device or magnets in or on your purse.

    Gwen :)

I use something similar for my work pass & it's quite discreet, I normally store my sea pass in my bra if stuck without a pocket or bag while pottering on ship. :D
