  1. This is a question for anyone who has cruised on carnival in Seattle. Does Delta Airlines have a checkin desk at Pier 91?

Last year when we cruised on the Carnival Legend we were able to get our luggage and carry it to the Delta Checkin Desk at Pier 91. We were able to get our boarding passes, checkin for our flight and give our luggage to a Delta Airlines employee.

It made it a lot easier on us because we didn't have to worry about getting to the airport with our luggage in a taxi.

Does anyone know if they are still providing this service in 2017?

  2. We went on a NYE cruise on the Fascination out of Jacksonville. We were served free champagne when we got on the ship up on lido. That night we had a special menu at dinner in the dining room, party hats and blowers. There were lots of parties going on that evening, but we decided to go back to the room and relax.

  3. I would go with the Fantasy out of Mobile. I love the port of Mobile. It is easy to get in and out of the parking deck. Lots of choices of hotels near the cruise terminal. Less expensive port compared to New Orleans prices. I also prefer the Fantasy because it is less crowded, less lines to stand in.

Can anyone provide some details about Mobile/Port of Alabama?

Easy to drive to. Not far off of the interstate and well marked directions.

Just curious as to what to expect...is it comparable to Miami, Canaveral, Jaxville, Charleston, Tampa?

I think it is one of the easiest to get in and out of. I have sailed out of

Canaveral, Jacksonville and Tampa. I like Mobile because the parking deck is right next to the terminal. We dropped off our bags and then parked our car and walked directly over to the terminal. No crossing the street or long walk.

It is easy to get to, what about parking on site and off site, terminal, etc.

I have never parked off site but the terminal seemed like a great, secure option.

We usually drive in the day before and stay at one of the nearby hotels. My favorite are the Renaissance Riverview Hotel and the Hampton Inn. Both are very close to the cruise terminal. We have done one of the hotel packages where you leave your car at the hotel and a limo takes you to the terminal on embark day and picks you up after the cruise is over.

Several things to see in Mobile. The Battleship Mobile, Bellingrath Gardens, a couple of museums and not far from the beaches.

Here is a link about Mobile's hotels, and other attractions.

    Hope you enjoy Mobile.

  5. Across the street from the Hampton Inn is the Marriott Renaissance Riverview Hotel which has a park, cruise and shuttle to the port option. We stayed at this hotel when the Fantasy was cruising out of Mobile previously. The Riverview parking is in a parking deck next to the hotel, so it is covered parking. Another hotel in the area is the Battle House Renaissance Hotel which is a beautiful historic property.

    Love cruising out of Mobile.

I have also parked my car at the terminal and it was easy to get in to the parking deck and easy to get out after the cruise was over.

  6. I have stayed in a grand suite on a fantasy class ship twice. Other perks of the grand suite are a bathtub and a larger bathroom. A walk in closet with more storage space. A mini fridge. The room is larger than a traditional fantasy class room. Also various size and types of drinking glasses. On some fantasy class ships that didn't get the upgrades, the junior suites and grand suites are the only rooms with balconies.
