My upcoming cruise is my 5th and I was offered an upsell but mine came in the form of an email. The offer came about 2 weeks after we made our final payment and was for $60 we could go from our Deck 6 balcony to deck 9, 10, or 11. Something about the email made me want to check the price of the cruise. I discovered the rate for the category cabin I booked went down $240 from what I paid. I decided to pass on the upsell and take the $240 OBC. I booked early saver for the first time and it actually worked in my favor. :D

I still have a little more than a month and I'm already starting to pack. It's partly because I'm excited and partly because it's getting cold here now and I don't want to have to pull out summer clothes after I've already packed them away for the winter.

I got an email a couple hours after I posted here. My form was approved and We now have a healthy OBC of $240!:D

I called today. The lady I spoke to didn't really seem to know much about how to submit it. She put the more=merrier rate in and now it is showing that rate as the price when I go in to manage my cruise. She then told me I have to submit the form online. I hope I don't end up having any problems since the cruise is already paid in full. This was my first time booking an early saver rate.

Fantastic review so far! Subscribing so I can follow along and help the time pass before I cruise again!

Can't believe a new UWTC thread has popped up! Welcome to anyone else that has made themselves the unofficial VP of whatever!:p

thank you. I can't tell you how much we cherish his smile' date=' especially when it stems from real happiness, however brief. This picture, taken while on the Dream two years ago (the one you missed :() shows about the best we usually get without forcing a smile.

Totally different boy than the one on this year's cruise, I think!
You're right. You can definitely see the difference in his smile. He looks genuinely happy. It feels good to see kids in moments when they are genuinely happy. Warms my heart.

Reading the way you speak of Madelyn and Jadon makes me happy. It brought tears to my eyes to read of how much he enjoyed his birthday and to see him smile.

The excursion you did is my second choice after cave tubing. The island looked great. If I make it back to Belize after this cruise that will be my excursion choice!

Hi Shenika!!! I DO remember you and your beautiful daughter! We were so sad when you had to cancel. How cool is it that you are following us on the Legend this summer? Y'all are going to have a great time!!! I hope you are doing well!
I am so ready to go! Your review is making me even more excited to go on this cruise. I can't wait for next weekend! You have made me want to try the wine pairing and cooking demonstration. I love seeing reviews by people that have kids my daughters age. I want to take her on her first cruise next year and I recently found out she I'd allergic to macademia nuts.

Hi Paula! I don't know if you remember but I was supposed to go on the Dream with you a couple of years ago. Our daughters are the same age.
I can't wait to read the rest of your review. Less than 2 weeks left until I leave on the Legend and it will help me pass the time!

Thanks for all the great info! Cruising on Legend for our Honeymoon July 8. First cruise for both of us! What should we know about excursions?
We're going in August. I can tell you what we are doing and maybe you'll see something that interests you.
Since it's your honeymoon, if youre a beach person you may want to look into Nachi Cocom for Cozumel. It's not a carnival excursion. It's an all inclusive beach club that only allows 100 people in a day. If you book by today it's $49 per person. After today $55. Included in the price is use of the pool, beach, jacuzzi, food and drinks. There are also activities available for an additional cost (massages, parasailing, snorkeling, wave runners, etc.)
Grand Cayman we're doing a stingray city sandbar and snorkel tour booked independently. Some of our group is going to 7 mile beach.
Roatan/Mahogany Bay we're just going to relax on the free beach there. Some of our group is doing a zip line tour with Clip and Zip tours.
Belize we are doing cave tubing with VIV tours.
I hope this was some help to you! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and Happy Cruising!:)

No one said how old the Carnival pictures could be...:) These are old pictures I took of Carnival's first ship...the Mardi Gras in Cozumel in 1984. Sorry for the poor quality, but I had to scan the beat up 35mm photos. :o
I love seeing old cruise photos

I love all the recently added pictures! I can't wait to get some great shots this summer.
Breezycruiser, I "loved" your picture of the lighthouse at Atlantis/Nassau.It is strange that I would see it now, as one of the girls that I work with is either there now or on her way there today!:) I told her to "enjoy" it, as she has never been there before, and it is a MUST to see.:)
Brenda
Thanks I'll be going back in December and I can't wait to use my new camera to get some amazing shots!

This past February on the Carnival Glory, there were
about 60 people from all over the US that owned various
Haunted Houses Theme Parks.
Originally they wanted to go in costume for one of the formal nights.
Carnival was dead set against it. However, there was such a ruckus on
CC.COM Carnival relented and told them it would be ok.
All Carnival asked is that they tone down the amount of fake blood.
What do you think??
Kind of scary eh!!
Guess who??
Almost scared the crap out of me!!
You must admit these are some "Unique Pictures"
I would have loved to be on this cruise!
Ok. I think I finally figured out how to get larger pictures to upload thanks to advice here on cruise critic. These pictures were taking in Jamaica. We did Dunn's River Falls then went river tubing and stopped at the Blue Lagoon for rock jumping and playing on the rope swings. Our sons love to play it up for the camera.
These are awesome

I put one on our cabin door on the Legend just to let our friends know where we were. It stayed up the whole 7 days. No one ripped it down and we kept the marker in the cabin so no one could write anything on it.
