  1. I hope Cunard keeps the dance hosts.  That's the major reason I sail Cunard.  I did Celebrity cruises before. They have suites and cabins equivalent to the grill suites with their own restaurants and amenities and the staff attends to the small groups above and beyond their duty; and it's fare is much cheaper than Cunard too.  Of course I miss Cunard's  gala nights, but for a 7 to 10 day cruise I don't mind Celebrity. For a longer cruise  we do need the dance hosts , or what do we do in the evening after the shows.  How do we get the message to Cunard?

  2. I just called Cunard re dance hosts.  I was told  any sailing out of the UK there's no dance hosts on board.  Very disappointed.  Hope this will change later.

  3. thank you for your replies. I plan to do  the northern light cruise on the QV which is later in the year. Hopefully  they will have hosts on board.   I do both American and International  and most non-standard dances including Argentine Tango but good at nothing.  I just dance for fun.

Roll call is a good way to find out. Once my cruise is firm I will try roll call.

  4. How long do you have to own the stock before you can get the OBC?

My husband and I both own the stock, can we both claim the benefit individually or is it for per cabin?

My son only bought  his stock about 6 months ago . will that work?

I checked a how to claim the benefit link but it doesn't say. Can anyone help?  thanks you

  5. Hi  I will be on the Anthem in Dec.   I heard RCCL changed to wrist band like Princess ( disc) or  it's still the card thing.   Just that I am allergic to certain wristband materials , esp kept on for many days.   I prefer the card  as I am not high tech for the "disc" type of gadgets either.  Anyone who's been on the Anthem lately who can tell me.   thanks.

  6. thanks Annmars for your report. I am also an experienced cruiser but a Cunard newbie. You addressed some of my concerns. Never been at sea that long ( max 6 sea days at the Antarctica cruise with some very rough seas at Cape Horn ). so I have some questions:

    How rough was the ocean?

How do you fill the time? Any trivia or game that we can participate in the day time? Are there shows every evening? Is the main ballroom where the big band plays the only place to dance ( as opposed to some latin or club dance floors in some other cruises)?

Does priority disembarkation mean you have to take your own luggage on the way off the ship?

I remember those 6 sea days in S. America were looong. By the 3rd sea day I was so longing for a port day. I am a bit comprehensive about the Transatlantic crossing at first, but the attraction of the QM2 is too much to resist and I am more prepared this time for the all at sea cruise. I hope the big band on QM2 would entice me to dance every night. I hope I w'd have the same enjoyable experience as you had.

  7. We have to thank those people who posted great reviews about this company. They did not disappoint. We had a most enjoyable full day tour with Romeo ( Rudy was doing another tour) whom, from the moment he picked us up at the airport to dropping us off at the crusie pier, paid the utmost attention to us driving us around the city and explaining the city's history, culture and landmarks in great humour and details. We've done many private tours, this one surpasses them all in service and attention. If you have any doubts about Acapulco (eg from bad media coverage), fear no more, Rudy and his team will sure look after you well. And Romeo, I can be your Juliette whenever I'm in your city. :)
