I’ve done this tour a few times. They don’t weigh you, if you look like you might be over the limit they will ask how much you weigh. A pair of people who went on the same tour as us were definitely past the weight limit, they were asked their weight, clearly lied about it, and the tour operator warned them of the consequences if they are overweight what could happen. The couple shrugged and they went on the tour with us without incident.

Probably a stupid question, but does NCL randomly select people and they pay what they bid? Or do they always select the highest bidder?

Be careful about them applying them to a cruise already paid for in full. When I did that, the original cruise fare they were supposed to refund, was refunded to... another cruisenext certificate.

Definitely do NOT do this.

Does anyone know if the NCL ships, in this particular case the Getaway, are providing behind the scenes tours and dinner with the officers? We were on the Breakaway on its first sailing since Covid back in September and they understandably were cancelled for those cruises. Also, what exactly does the Saphire and up benefit “dinner with the officers” entail?
