  1. There is a groupon for a full day circle tour for $99 for 2 people, includes the movie tour at the ranch with a island buffet lunch. It is limited time so go grab one. I think it is good for the time you buy it to 180 days. Buy one and then call the tour company to reserve your spot. They use a motor coach. They are a new tour and they usually do not fill the 56 person bus. It sounds great, we are booked for our April cruise.

    have you done this yet?

  2. I would love to go with someone who is adventurous to drive around.

Are there any restaurants that you can walk to from the pier..or even a post office. I mailed home some souveniers when we were in Alaska. thank goodness as my luggage would have been wayyyy over.

  3. You've hit the two places on that side of the street - the Wailana is just up at the end of the block. The crossing over to the HHV isn't bad. Your companions shouldn't have an issue. It isn't a major highway, but a wide street. Cross at the crosswalk and you'll be fine. Within HHV there are a few places to eat. But, outside of those, the food choices at that end of Waikiki aren't many.

thanks so much. that helps..with the time change and long plane ride I don't think we'll be in much shape to wanna go exploring the first night anyways.

  4. We will be staying there one night pre-cruise in November. I see they have a Ihop within the hotel. also Wailana Coffee shop( is that within walking distance without crossing major roads?

Can you tell me if there are any place else to eat that is within walking distance and not having to cross major highway? My brother uses a motorized scooter and my husband uses a cane at time.

    Thanks so much

  5. Kcarp, I just put our dates in on the Continental website and the price was 585 per person non-stop from Newark to Honolulu. Of course that is for coach. I was really surprised how cheap it was. That is really reasonable.

    wow..it's now 858.00 a person from Newark..Oh Boy.

  6. Aqua Palms and Spa. Why because it's right across from Hawaiian Hilton and it's a block away from Wailana Coffee House. IHOP restaurant is at the Aqua. Both restaurants are not that expensive. Aqua is half the price of HHV and plus you can enjoy the ammenities and beach at the Hilton.

we will be staying at the Aqua Palms in November. I see the Coffee shop and Ihop are close by..are they within walking distance? or do you have to cross some major hwy? My brother is in a scooter..and my husband doesn't walk to fast.

  7. Has anyone used priceline? if so about what are the rates you got/offered and at what hotels. Been checking for Thanksgiving Thurs and Friday prior to our cruise on Saturday. Don't need anything spectacular..but will a/c and bug free. Can't imagine bad hotels in hawaii..but what people want/find could be subjective
