We did an all inclusive in Jamaica and had a very nice time. Once we took our first cruise we were hooked, the entertainment on cruises beats all inclusives hands down. We love the beach; but feel a cruise is what you make of it, you need to do more than one to get a routine down. Our first was hectic, we missed activities, spent waaaaay too much on our on board account and needed a vacation at the end! After a few you learn the ropes and each one is different. Not sure resorts can change like a cruise....

There's tables and they also have tournaments.

A few cruise ago we did a jeep tour and snorkeled; last year we did the Jose Cuervo tequila tasting, a lot of fun!

On hold for 1:30 the girl said I needed to be transferred, she put me back on hold and call dropped!!!!

I don't know if they saw the dinner show and thought it was free??? Are there other shows on the ship; comedy, singing?

Some acquaintances of ours sailed the Breakaway and were a bit disappointed with their cruise. I know each vacation is what each individual makes it so I will not let their experience determine our decision, however they complained about having to pay for things during the cruise they felt should have been for free. We've never cruise Norwegian and would like to see the ship. I'm assuming all shows are free, you only pay for specialty restaurants like other cruise lines....etc. Please let me know your thoughts and experiences, thanks in advance!!!

I'm not sur I want to book 150 Central Park in advance.... Have you noticed if it was full every night? If I decide mid-cruise that I would like to eat there, do I have any chances to have a table?
We are cruising August 23...
Thanks for your advice!
Friends booked mid cruise and did not gave a problem, I'm sure it varies.

We had a wonderful cruise this past week; weather was beautiful, the ship is amazing, and the mix of passengers was a blast. This will be an abbreviated review of the highlights, if you have questions please ask!
The good:
Healthy breakfast and lunch, eat in the solarium.
Walking/jogging track on deck 5 is very nice.
MDR was typical, escargot on the 2nd formal night.
The ship rocks, it's on the water.....not as noticeable as smaller ships.
Pizza at Sorrentos was tasty.
Make show reservations online, saves waiting in line.
Labadee is a great beach day.
Go to the schooner bar for a good view during parades and the 70's dance party.
All the shows were very well produced and enjoyable.
The bad:
Not a fan of Dave Chapman the cruise director, Katie the activities manager was much more entertaining. Once you cruise with Richard Spacey all else do not compare.
That's about it for the bad!!!
I'm glad we had a few cruises under our belt before cruising on the Oasis, she is a beautiful ship, however you do lose a bit of the personal touch we've seen on smaller ships. We took advantage of the lower deposit and the $100 OBC for booking while onboard. We'll be on the Independence next year.

The coffee is not the best but it does the trick.
Room service is fine in the morning, for a better cup in the afternoon I opt for Starbucks.

Thinking about getting a necklace and bracelet made while on the ship. Has anyone bought from here, what was your experience?

We've been there three times and have seen just about everything. Felt more nervous in parts of Jamaica. If we ever port in Nassau again we'll stay on the ship.

Just recently (Oct) off Oasis and had cabin #6662..it was a great convenient location..even though it was a balcony but got a great deal on it as compared to our usual JS catagory and part of the reason we decided to give Oasis a try...you can't go wrong with deck # 6 midship on this class of ship.
Nice to hear we have 6603 and 6191 booked in a couple weeks!:)

Not on the Oasie, but I have used them on the Explorer and the Carnival Pride.

Is it possible to upgrade your room while checking in at the cruise port? If oceanviews or balconies are available would Royal offer them at a discounted rate?
-
Jeep tour in Cozumel; it included snorkeling and lunch on the beach.

Received an email on 12/28 stating that our e-docs are ready to print/view. Log into RCI online and get error messages; anyone else having trouble?
-
Stayed at the Renaissance a couple years ago the night before going on the Carnival Pride; inner harbor is great, many restaurants to walk to.
-
We're booked online and I've changed 3 times in the last couple weeks. Saved almost $500 from our original booking.

In about 52 hrs!!!!:p:p

Awesome review! Can't wait for April!

Do the TV's in the cabins have the ports so you can plug in the PS 3 game console. My sons want to bring their PS3 which also play movies and games on them, etc. Thanks!:D
You're kidding right?? I would not even entertain the thought of bringing our boys XBox...There is so much to do and see!
Anyone NOT like the Breakaway?

Can't wait to see what the BA has to offer, we traveled on the Oasis last year and loved the "resort style" ship. Hoping the BA will offer the same experience.
