  1. I found this great review that was so interesting and funny I couldn't stop reading it!!! I should have been working on a paper for school!!! Thank you for taking so much time to write such a fabulous review. It made me laugh to the point of tears twice!!! You are obviously a light hearted and joyful person. I can't wait until I go on my next cruise in August. I had wrote the super mega ships off a while back because I thought they would just be overwhelming however, now I'm reconsidering... :D :p

  2. OK, I am not really an acquatic maniac or anything, but I loved the pictures you posted from the dolphin excursion. I know you didn't take most of those, but you did a nice job cleaning them up. My DH and I have now decided that the dolphin encounter is worth doing....your photos convinced us to spend more $$$!!! It looked like you were having so much fun.

The children on the back of the truck was amazing!!!

And backing up, the picture of one of the couples from your meet and greet...they were a well seasoned/mature looking couple and their faces were lovely!!! Just an awesome picture.

Umm...let's see, the pictures with the monkeys were way cute...very happy photos.

You have an amazing talent and I know lots of people have said that already. I hope you will be able to continue on with your review with more photos included. I have surely enjoyed what you have been able to share to this point and I would love to read about the rest of your cruise.

Thank you for your positivity and the absolute most darling review I think I have read in a very long time. :D :p

  3. A quick question about Dolphinaris...some members of our group would like to go along , but not do the dolphin swim. Is there a nice , relaxing beach area for them? We initially were going to book at Chaakanaab , but now you can´t do it on your own , only through the ship. Looking at this other option , so glad to see your review.

Regarding Chaakanaab, here is a link: http://www.cozumelparks.com/. There is a beach area at Chaakanaab and the site has a map of the park.

    Hope that helps.

  4. Your photographs are spectacular! I would love to see more and read more about your experience on the Dream overall. I spent half a day reading reviews about the Dream and very few of them were "happy" in nature. Actually, most of them were down right scary. You seem to be having a wonderful time though!!!! Perhaps after your review I'll have a new perspective to draw from. Right now I've shifted from the Dream to maybe a Spirit class ship like the Carnival Legend or the Pride for my next cruise. I'm quite overdue. Post on!!!!!

  5. I did come back and finish today...two glasses of pinot noir and a lots of smiles and laughter later I got to the last page and wondered if there was more?! I thoroughly enjoyed your review. The detail you shared was just intimate enough to make me feel like I was on vacation too! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your vacation, family, pictures, experiences and your point of view with your cruise critic family. Fabulous photography! Loving you camera skills!

    Best regards,

  6. When we cruised on the Destiny over Thanksgiving 09, for the first 2 or 3 nights we heard a very loud banging noise...we called twice the first night...once the next. They finally shut the fire door that was open (earplugs couldn't keep the sound out as it was directly above us on an open deck) and while it was annoying...and we complained thrice...we got nothing in the way of compensation. No new room...no balcony, not one cent...we even asked...they simply said "no" they don't compensate for those kinds of situations.

While we were not happy cruisers at first...out of all the cruises we've taken...we figured it was our turn. It wasn't a bad cruise...and not our most memorable or favorite, but we made the best of those first few nights and we actually had a good time otherwise. We work pretty high stress jobs...so a week away from work...a little banging and a weak night club does not ruin our vaca. We simply make the best of it on our own...hence the huge tab when we leave....

I think those who have cruised over 5-10 cruises will agree...at least one will stand out as having not been the best...

I will continue to cruise on Carnival, it is simply in my price range and allows me to spend money on extras...
