On my last 7 day cruise my cabin mate did not think Cheers would be worth the cost. We made an agreement that we wouldn't get Cheers but he would reimburse me for anything I spent (in drinks) over $400 minus any amount the he ended up "under" $400 on the final bill. Well, my final bill for drinks ended up being $720 and his was $880. So...I spent $400 and he spent $1200.

 

Your results may vary. And yes...I accepted the reimbursement because I fought tooth and nail to get him to agree to get Cheers but he wouldn't budge.

I convinced my friend to get cheers in April by telling her I'd pay the difference for any day she didn't hit $50.... As we ordered our pre-dinner cocktails the first night (#4 for the day) she said "yeah I don't think you're going to owe me anything for drinks" lol

Love the smaller Fantasy class ships and the Fantasy just got Guys, Red Frog, and Blue Iguana.... The best of both worlds! (At least in my opinion [emoji4])

Getting worried did Pre Check 7/20 got mine right away. DH still does not called said they went as high as they can to get with TSA. We fly in Oct hope it gets here soon

In my experience ever since I got my KTN and registered it with the airlines my travel companions have also gotten the pre-check notation on their boarding passes when we booked tickets together.

When we went twice we just got omelettes the first time and the heartier stuff the second time. It was mostly due to DBF hating buffets. Sadly he's not a fan of cruising anymore. I'll miss him when I go solo next week. [emoji846]

I've used it for about six years now for all my personal travel. I like that you don't have to stick with just one chain to get rewards, even if the rewards aren't as great as some of the chains. And I like being able to compare prices of all hotels in an area at one time. Their app makes it really easy to book and check for price drops too.

Any recent reviews of this hotel? Looks like it is in a good location. I found some reviews from over a year ago that were all over the board. Seeing if anyone has stayed recently.

I'll be there this weekend and am planning to come back here and report on my stay.

We have to take medications daily. So I found small plastic bags that seal like zip locks. I found a pack of 50 at most drug stores. Put all one day or morning and night I one bag. Helps keep organized and know what has been taken. Always pack one extra day incase of delays ( and they have happened). Takes up much less room than pill bottles. Also have a couple with general drugs, just in case.

I've done this with vitamins/supplements too! I got a pack of tiny ziplocks at Michaels for a couple dollars. When I travel for work I also use one for a pair or two of earrings and then just put it in my makeup bag.

I use a stretchy coil wristlet for mine when I'm on the ship and just put the whole thing in my purse when I go ashore.

It's ridiculous. I still receive paper statements from Kohl's instead of internet only mainly because they frequently include a Shutterfly coupon and sometimes it's a free shipping code. They let you use multiple discounts so I have a couple items I was able to get completely free.

I would not make my decision based solely on whether a ship has Guys or not but I do make my decision based on the food and beverage offerings on the ship. When a ship gets Guys they also usually get Blue Iguana Grill and Bar and the Red Frog Rum Bar. These four venues combined tip the scale for me.

I'd be more inclined to call Shutterfly than Carnival. I'm surprised your coupon was valid for four months.... most of their special offers for freebies are only valid for much shorter lengths of time. When I get one in a credit card statement it usually expires at the end of the month. I would not be surprised if they do not give a new code.

One thing you can do easily is like them on the social site we are not allowed to mention that starts with an F and they frequently have promotions where you can get an item free. I have actually gotten two luggage tags free this way. Well, not exactly free when shipping is $7.99.....

The Cruiser on Carnival has OJ, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice along with vodka, coconut rum, and peach schnapps and is pretty breakfasty tasting. [emoji484]

I take magnetic binder clips (for papers) and magnetic binder clips (for my S&S card). When I go with my friend I also take some of those little plastic tubs they have 4/$1 at the Tree - we each get one for the bathroom and one for the desk to keep things neat. I pack socks and undies in large ziploc bags and just throw them in the closet or drawer that way.

The Cucumber Sunrise from Alchemy is really good. There's another one with chocolate in it that we had instead of dessert most nights. And I really like the Ting Mojito from Red Frog.

❤️❤️❤️ Hurtigruten we went on the round trip last year as part of a tour group and there were a couple of solo travelers in the group. I am looking at their other itineraries (Iceland is on my bucket list) and would love to do the round trip again.

We thought about this too :-) But by the time the ship listed, the casino had already been shut down for several hours. And the machine on the Legend doesn't shoot actual quarters- just some lite fake silver coins. And when they fall, you don't actually get all of them.

Interesting about the fake coins. I know you don't get ALL of them, but you could get SOME of them for nothing. My friend and I happened to be playing a slot machine near the quarter pusher on the Triumph earlier this year when it turned out of the Mississippi into the gulf and got a few dollars worth just for being in the right place at the right time...

Don't bother with the chocolate extravaganza, everything is flavorless and gross. :eek::eek::eek:
