Was interested in the Glory. Searched it and this thread came up. Thanks to you guys, we now have 9200 booked and we are very excited!! We usually book balcony rooms, with extended balconies. ie aft wraps, the bowling alley baclonies on spirit class, and extended aft on the upcoming Victory cruise. But this room looks awesome!!!
My question, does the total forward facing window, smaller triangle, shade open?? In every picture I see of 9200 and 9201 it's closed.
How cool with that be sleeping with all of those shades up!!??

We are booked in 6232, looks like a fabulous balcony, any shortcomings to this cabin? Is it too close to the elevators and public areas?
Thanks
We've had this room on the Miracle and Legend and will again in Nov on the Legend. Awesome location, no noise at all. We even stopped ordering room service cuz it was easier to just go get it ourselves!! We laughed cuz my husband got turned around in the elevator, we were on the opposite side and when the doors opened he just rounded the corner and that was NOT our room.
We had rough seas (Hurricane Reina) and there was something in the ceiling that was "rolling" around. If I woke up in the middle of the night, I couldn't get back to sleep!! Hoping they fixed that!!?? Otherwise, loved the balcony. Room is just a standard room.
Have fun!!

yes, yes it is!! coffee is available 24 hrs. don't know why this reply isn't right after the questions like the others!!??:rolleyes:Couple questions:What are our dining options if we don't want to do a multi-course meal in the MDR?
The buffets, grills, pizza, deli and room service
Are there late-night dining options? Pizza/sandwiches/snacks?Yes, deli is open until 9:30 I want to say, and pizza 24 hrs and of course, room service.
Is there coffee available 24/7?
Enjoy your first Carnival Cruise. We sailed on the Legend last October and were detoured due to Hurricane Rina, so we missed the ports we were very much looking forward to. Thought we try it one more time!! Even got the same room.
Happy Sailing!!

It's confirmed. We did NOT get the Fairfield, sold out.
Oh well, still have the Cambria booked. Their reviews are awesome!!

We used 2 taxis for a party of 9 back in October. The taxi rate was approximately $20 for each of us. Definitely take a taxi! The front desk will more than likely try to talk you out of it. We had to call one ourselves and saved quite a bit of money over taking the shuttle. You can request a van when you call.
$20 for each taxi?? Or $20/pp?? If it's $20 per taxi then I guess that's a no brainer!! We'll call for a taxi-van.
Thanks

Anyone have any idea the cost of a taxi for 6 to the Pier?? I know the hotel charges $9/pp for the shuttle, so just wondering if it would be pretty close in price to just get a private taxi.
Thanks

Can you see the ships in port from this hotel?? We want a hotel where we can do this and it seems like they are all around $200/nt in February.
Thanks!!
Better yet, what hotel offers the best ship/port view. Thanks again

Good to know.
Thanks

Is it my imagination or do the two balconies on deck 8 next to the wraps (still aft not side) look a little bigger than the others on deck 8??

Hey neighbor, I never noticed until now you were from Pewaukee.
Yes we are neighbors!! Lived here all my life. Grew up in the Falls, went to school in Sussex and now live in Pewaukee. I really love it here! Our joke is that we are 15 minutes from pretty much everything!!
Small world, hey!?

I agree, I would have gladly paid the extra to pre-book.
Glad to hear there are 15. My chances just got a little better!!:D

Where does one get these? Sorry, first time cruiser here :o
Hey you!! It's Tami from the roll call board. When we get on the ship we have to "high tail" it over to the excursion desk to book one. There is only 12so we have to run!!
We talked a little about in on our Roll Call thread, with HAL you can pre-book them but not with Carnival.

Probably would have made more sense to ask BEFORE we booked. But it certainly will not ruin our vacation. Thanks for the info.
:o

I know this is too late, we already booked, but do all the cruise lines pump ocean water into their pools?? And why do they do this??
Thanks!
