How does buying bottles of wine work? We don't drink enough to warrant Cheers but will drink more than the 2 bottles we can bring on board. If we buy a bottle at a bar will they let us take it with us? I know in the dining room they cork and store it.

Loving your review! I'm an '82 mama to 3 and love all your references. Can't wait to keep up with this trip. Have a blast!

We carried 2 on and had 2 bottles delivered to our room prior to boarding. Our plan was to try the wine and then order more via cruise the vineyards. We ended up not needing more because DH stuck with beer and mixed drinks plus I got a terrible rash from the cheap bottle of cabernet. I've had my fair share of wines (plenty of cheap ones too) over the years and never had issues before. I'm 100% sure it was from the wine too. Hopefully next year they have a different cabernet selection.

Yes but the selection is poor.
Best bet is to order from the dining room. No corkage fee if buy there wine.
We eat at the steakhouse either the first or second night. Instead of the free bottle we buy 4 or 5 bottles at 50% off. We take one to the cabin and have them save the rest to be served in the main dinning room.
Another option is call the fun shops ( can't do it on line) and buy cruise the vineyard package.
With cruise the Vineyard do you have to order 3 different types or could you order multiple of the same?

We ordered 2 bottles for the room and are each taking a bottle onboard. I know the dining room charges a corkage fee. Can you order a bottle from the bars?

"Life with Favor" has many videos on you tube about cruising gluten free on Carnival. As I recall on her Carnival Legend, Alaska vlogs, she made a few trips to the Blue Iguana and showed what her gluten free options were. She also talks about how she visits the main dining room on the daily to plan her evening meal. It appeared that Carnival was extremely accommodating.
Thank you, I'll check this out.
I'm very cautious about eating out and will be asking many questions once I'm on board. I was hoping to get some ideas of what I'd be able to eat though.

I have heard of corn tortillas, but I haven't seen them.
Other than that, you can do a taco salad
So the rice and meats are gf?

Is any of the food at Blue Iguana gluten free?

Nevermind. It was an issue with my computer not updating not Carnival.

I set up onboard expenses and was planning on linking all of us to my husband's credit card. It is still wanting me to set up a credit card for myself. Do I need to do this? We would prefer everything all be on one card.

What were the best gluten free foods you ate on your cruise?

Another great review! Thanks for your help with Club O2. I'll be on the lookout for your next review in November. The husband is wondering if the Glory had the pour your own beer and if it was a good price.

When I walked by at 7 there was a sign saying it was closed. I walked by a couple times between 8-9:30 and there were about 50 kids crowded around the dance floor but the music was so low I wouldn’t have noticed it had i not been looking for it. I went by at 10:45 and all of that was shut down. Looked like two kids hanging out in the back. No music.
Thank you! I think some nights they have late night music but if it's not nightly I can deal with that.

Will do. I remember passing it last night but don’t recall any noise. I’ll pay attention tonight.
You rock! Thanks a bunch!

Yesss! So excited for this review! We are doing the same ship and itinerary in October. If you happen to remember would you see how loud Club O2 is when walking by late night one night? Our cabin is directly above and I'm nervous about the noise. Thanks and have an excellent trip! I'll be here reading daily!

This past cruise our dining team got extra, but room steward only got auto. He didn't give poor service, he just didn't give anything extra. First cruise so far that I cannot even remember his name.
Doing excursions and tours? Both the driver and guide. Also, a thank you, I had a great time and leaving a review on tripadvisor later means so much to them!
This is exactly why I asked...I was completely forgetting excursions and taxis in port. Thank you!

The auto gratuities takes most of the guess work out of it.
Tip extra as you feel it's warranted, it's up to you.
We prepay gratuities as well. Just trying to make sure we have enough extra cash to tip as needed or warranted.

Trying to determine how much cash to take for tips. It's been a long time since we've cruised. We always tip extra for good service to our stewards, bartenders and wait staff. We make sure to tip porters and room service. Am I forgetting anyone obvious?

Feel free to mail me your lanyards before our upcoming cruise.

Do you have any info on the wine packages? I haven't seen anything about that. Thanks!
