  1. We were on the Koningsdam..The configuration is weird, No pass through between the starboard and port sides of the Lido, You must go from one end of the stations to reach the other side, On previous cruises with other lines we didn't sign when on the drink package. This one required signatures for each drink with an 18% surcharge. We are returning to Oceania for future cruises,

  2. We recently completed a 7 day voyage from San Diego. We had CO. The first night the wait was 30-40 minutes so we went to the Lido. Second night we dined at CO. Service was quick until we waited 20 minutes for dessert. Our waiter was apologetic stating a miscommunication with his partner. Dined in CO the next night. It was not crowded , but service was not good. We dined in the MDR the next 2 nights with excellent service. The tender boarding and special line at guest services were nice perks, overall would not recommend CO.

  3. An excellent review. My wife and I have sailed twice on Marina, twice on Riviera, and once on Nautica.

All of the cruise were excellent, Marina and Riviera have four specialty restaurants included in the fares. The art displayed on Marina is striking. We had a trip scheduled to Cuba on Insignia which was cancelled when John Bolton broke relations with Cuba. Very sad and disappointing.

My TA called and got an agent out of country. He couldn't get a straight answer on booking Club Orange. After reading a post on CC. I called the availability desk at 1 888 628 8107 and got a very helpful gentleman. I now have Club Orange on Koningsdam. Worth a try.

  5.   Just finished a 10 day cruise on Equinox. On my roll call I had 30 plus guests sign up for a pub crawl on the second sea day. On the day before the crawl I dropped off a proposed route to the front desk for the Food and Beverage Mgr. Apparently there was a disconnect in getting it to the right place.

The proposal was to start at 3 pm and end at 5:30 pm. On the day of the crawl I received a call at 1:45 pm stating we couldn't do this. I told the young lady the guests who signed up wouldn't be pleased. About 20 minutes later I got a call stating the Bar Mgr wanted to meet with me. We met on the third deck were he informed these events had to be prearranged with an event coordinator. He further informed me there was a  limit of 15 people and there was a charge of $35 per person. I informed him I had been on a pub crawl on Millennium last year with no such restriction. He was less than receptive to that.

I went to the start of the crawl to inform as many as possible of the cancellation. I'm certain the ones I couldn't contact thought me  a fool. Lesson learned: Easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

  6. My copy of the result did not indicate a room number only Canada Place. To my knowledge they didn't inform guests they were testing at Canada Place. I know some folks who were getting tested at the airport. We got on in San Diego for 4 days .As an aside, I spoke with guests who took the 24 days from Fort Lauderdale. They said this was a shakedown cruise with several issues including no hot water, hot staterooms, etc.

  7. W e debarked Noordam 15 May and needed a Covid test to fly back to San Diego the next day. We went to a testing site in Canada Place. We were tested immediately and received results in 15 minutes. There was no cost for the test. Ironically I tested positive for Covid  on 17 May after return. If I had tested positive on 15 May, I would have been quarantined in Canada. Strange.

  8. Don't know if this will apply when you return to Vancouver. We debarked the Noordam Sunday and needed a covid test before our flight back to San Diego on Monday. We went to the testing site inside Canada Place and got a free test. Walked in and tested immediately. Waited 15 minutes and got results printed out.
