We are one the Gem Oct. 29 to Bermuda, her last trip from Boston, hope it isn't canceled. If we have to go next year it will be on the Pearl. TA said she will let me know if she hears anything, I laughed and said I would let her know because CC gets news out faster 😀.

    Stay safe folks.

    Hi LB:

Pearl to Bermuda from Boston beginning April 2022. We started a roll call for April 29th. C'mon along

...I'm keeping fingers crossed for my Halloween Mardi Gras cruise.  A 14 day cruise in November out of NOLA has an extremely slim chance of sailing, IMHO.

Yeah, great to go to NOLA then the Panama Canal - we switched to October 2022 PC out of Baltimore

Flight will be quicker MHT to Baltimore

  3. For us, out of Boston,

    a 2 hr. flight to Bermuda ;

or a 4 hr flight to San Juan

Once the vaccine kicks the numbers down

Cruises booked for 2022  Time goes too fast or slow depending which side of the wheel you are on

I wish I could jump on a plane
So many nights I just dream of the ocean
God I wish I was sailin' again

Jimmy Buffett was literally the son of a son of a sailor. Jimmy Buffet's grandfather was a sailor out of Nova Scotia. As a child he was exposed to sailing through his grandfather and these experiences would go on to influence his later music.

I received an email this morning stating I would have my refund in 7 to 10 days. About 2 hours later I had the whole refund ($3500) credited to my card. I think it was April 13th that I applied for the refund so they beat the 90 days. I am a happy camper. Now I hope we can get past this nightmare and hopefully we will cruise with NCL again.

Same here...Applied 5/7 for our 5/15 NCL cancelled cruise. $4500 applied today 7/1/2020

Don’t get too excited.    No guarantee Bermuda is going to be open.  🤩

    To all our valued visitors,

Our island’s borders are currently resticted to residents only. Bermuda’s airport stopped receiving regularly scheduled commercial air service March 20, and vessels, other than vital cargo, are not allowed to enter our seaport. Public-health restrictions are in place for Bermuda businesses and residents.

That said, I do miss the days of customer focused Kevin Sheehan.  He was innovative and customer centric in his leadership, all the while making a good profit.

Amazing money table. Not getting warm and fuzzies here about the CEO - DelRio

We have a "notation" with our CC company that if we do not get the refund within 90 days (July 3) they will then start a chargeback.

I liked what Ellie has said above.  So I called my CC company. The rep I talked to was understanding and aware of what was going on and did a notation as well.  I feel fortunate that I spoke to a human being too.

    How many posts ...

I agree with Budget's and others assessment of this thread and another a few back.   NCL's cash flow and computer management does come into suspect. However, let us not get snarky personal -  for "Theboss17"  has only 7 posts under the screen name and along with another thread / poster "Tallyfins'  has only 128 total. Hopefully they both learn.

My Mrs. DW and I are going to be patient, as we have selected the 100% refund for our May 15th, 2020. We are holding NCL and our TA in good faith that even though it may take up to 90 days, we feel we have made the proper selection.

  11. Hello Posters:

I am a retired environmental chemist. Desalinization and Deionization are the two terms used for removing "sea salt"-primarily Sodium and Calcium. Here is a description link that's not too complex

    https://www.quora.com/Do-cruise-ships-have-large-scale-desalinization-equipment

From a professional interest, I have yet to have a discussion with a chief engineer on my sailings' installed equipment. (I'm guessing that for the talking is primarily done by the Cruise Directors). I do truly believe cruise ship water meets acceptable standards.

If one does have to watch their "salt" intake, I would suggest check with the Maitre'D for low salt options in the dining hall.

    Happy Sailing
