I join to meet new people (we still sail with friends we met on our first roll call from 2009). I have never left a roll call even if it is slow ( like my Fantasy in December)

besides some of the above mentioned, we take a loofah since there is shower gel in the shower. and then throw it out at the end of our cruise

I usually go down to Guest Services on the last night and close out my account and get cash. At that point, I'm not drinking or gambling anymore so don't need any money.
From what I remember, the OBC from the FCC is non refundable. OBCs from price drops are refundable. I'm not sure about the OBC from the credit card since I don't have one but I would think they are probably non refundable.
Good news is they usually use the non refundable OBCs first. If you gamble, you can withdraw from them in the casino on the slot machines. Others have downloaded OBC, took a few spins and then cashed out but some are saying they are catching on to that too and keeping that to a limit.
Maybe you can use the OBC by taking a Ship Sponsored Excursion or buying more gifts in the ships store. Maybe playing bingo or a few extra drinks at night. Anything is better then giving the OBC back to Carnival.
Good Luck
this is what I do and true about the obc. You would think that Carnival would use the refundable first

To me, the Thai Barbecue is somewhat spicy. I've found my favorite combo to be 1/2 Black Bean, 1/2 Thai Barbecue.
I'm pretty sure if I tried the Szechuan, my mouth would become a fire hazard.:D
That sounds like a good idea. Do the black bean and this sauces go together- flavor wise?

Thanks. Wasn't sure. I know Thai can be spicy sometimes too! I hope it is mild enough for me. :)

Just the 3 sauces? Can you rate them from spiciest to least?

so if I can ask, how does it work exactly? get in line, and then what? also, which sauce is the least spicy!
OP-thanks for asking!

congratulations! you will spend the next 70 days on cruise critic! LOL
also, don't forget to look up your roll call for your cruise. you can meet fellow passengers

we were looking to plan a vacation and I think we either saw a Carnival billboard or commercial on TV. that's all she wrote! we are now addicted!
-
we definitely drink (and eat!) more when on the cruise but never to the point where I stumble back to my cabin. (I know, whats the fun in that)

someone posted a review not too long ago and the piano bar was one of the few things the poster liked. I'll let you know for sure in December if I sail after you

thoughts and prayers to everyone involved! this tragedy affects many people world wide

So, I've booked the Liberty and now am questioning my decision. I like crystal blue waters, nice sandy beaches. We'll be going to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize and Costa Maya. The other choice that I passed over was the St. Maarten/St. Thomas itinerary. Are the beaches on my itinerary as nice as the beaches on the one I passed over?
we did the western on the Liberty this summer and loved it!!! water was great at Cozumel (Nachi Cocum) and Roatan (dolphin excursion)

Port to port? Or airport to port?
I used jiffy Jeff for the latter but maybe the can do port to port too? They were great

my balcony door on the Glory just stayed open by itself.

OP- how much are the meet and greets on the other lines? or are you talking about the regular non paid ones?

michelle1836, I had the wok everyday except debarkation day:eek: It was great. Watch out for the HOT stuff!:o it is smoking. I always have them mix the black bean and Thai so its not to hot. Port days there wasn't much of a line. Helpful hint, there is a top row of vegetables that some people miss:DPink
thanks for the info! I don't do hot well so I'll get a lot of black beans! but my BF loves hot! and he is also tall so he can tell me what veggies are on the top row. :D

try to board as early as you can and go directly to book! it does sell out. and unfortunately no cameras and such. they do use a wand over you to make sure!
-
nice!! have a great cruise

For some reason, I failed to bring home the FunTimes for each day in September. I have two copies of two days, though! Does that count? :o
Let me have a look for the Wok times (yes, my folder is still sitting on the end table because I keep forgetting to haul it upstairs to put in with all my other extremely valuable (never to be looked at again) documents from prior cruises!)
Yep. It's open from 12 - 3:30 both days and listed as being open 12 - 2:30 on the last sea day, so I'd guess that's the case on the first sea day.
thanks! In all my cruises I have never had it. looking forward to trying it and without a huge line
-
not for me :(
but I'll keep checking!
-
Is the Mongolian wok open every day or just sea days?
Planning on spending the port days on the ship so it would be a good time to try the wok if it is open

for our first 2 cruises we did late dining and by the second one, we found we were missing shows and activities. we then switched to anytime dining. perhaps that is an option. your group can decide on a time and meet
