We use zip-ties. TSA can cut them off if necessary. We stick a couple un-used ones inside the bag and find that usually they'll re-ziptie the zippers for us if they have to do an inspection.
Luggage locks are easy to open these days; if not, they're just cut off and thrown away. We obviously don't pack valuables (electronics, jewelry, etc) in our checked baggage. If someone wants to steal my drawers, well they probably need 'em more than I do! :)
If you do use zip ties please remember to put a small pair of scissors in one of the outside pockets of your suitcase!!!! otherwise you wont be able to open your suitcase! just sayin'

Hi DK1, My very favorite shot is " Wedding Cake " it tasts just like vanilla cake with the buttercream frosting. It can also be altered to make Chocolate cake shots and German chocolate cake shots. Below is the recipe: But be warned, you cannot taste any alcohol.
----------- Chocolate Cake Shots -------------
.75 oz Frangelico
.75 oz vodka (regular not vanilla)
Granulated sugar
Use a large or double size shot glass. Dip the rim of the glass in water then roll in granulated sugar to coat. In a shaker filled 1/2 with ice, add Frangelico and vodka. Shake and strain into the shot glass.
Enjoy Everybody! :)
Sounds yummy!! have them both. will try them later.

no Corona lite??
Thanks for the info and glad you all had a great time. We are looking to book this excursion when we sail to Cozumel in July. we will most likely be needing a van. anyone know how many a van holds?

At least I have an underwear drawer full of screws with the Carnival logo on them.
Do they have the ship's names on them too? You can use them as past guest pins
-
I thought elevator roulette was when you removed the two screws that controled the safety brake. Haven't played it in years.
LOL! ah....good times! :D

It's flippin hilarious. If it were my kid, of course I'd take him to task when I found out. Yeah, it's funny, but I'd hold his feet to the fire for the act, he wouldn't do it again.... But c'mon, that's pretty tame stuff for two bored teenage boys. We're not talking about John Dillenger here.
Electronic forums are odd. So many seem to have zero tolerance for things that would never bug them at all in the real world. Maybe not you Beachchick, but many.
Ah...tis the way of Cruise Critic. as a Pearlbill said "we are a feisty bunch"

and there you have it!! (although I do kind of like the singing one a bit better -and yes, except for the pushing all the buttons part)
-
um, probably not this one! http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=elevator%20roulette
this one is just trying to guess which elevator will end up taking you to another floor: http://www.joewrite.com/2006/11/new-game-elevator-roulette/
this one is listed under "dr. fun's ways to enjoy the game of life":
Elevator Roulette
Usually best with two or more people. Get into an elevator, close the door, hit the buttons for all the floors and then swing into a song you have all agreed upon. As the doors open, you can either be bold and continue singing, or act normal and pretend that you don't know the other people in the elevator.
hope this helps :D
-
I thought it was just watching the elevator go up and down and betting on which floor it lands on? I'll google it and see what else I can find
-
perhaps funny if it was on some Alan Funt Candid Camera show.
wonder if the OP will end up doing the "elevator roulette"?
-
Have noticed some references to "Elevator Roulette" on these boards where they say it's a gas!! Our roll-calls have done the standard 'cabin/poker crawl', and the 'slot-pull' along with the M&G's, but have never heard of this one. Nobody has explained it, so - anybody got any insight??
Any other get-together things CC members can do to get acquainted would also be appreciated. We normally have a pretty active roll-call, so always fun to get together.
Doug
how about a digital scavenger hunt? It may be more fun than elevator roulette  I have a great list I can e mail to you

we had our first cruise this July and did put up a poster (8 1/2 x 11) on our door. It had "our first cruise" and our ship on the poster. we left a pen attached. most from our roll call signed but others did as well. something fun to do and you are able to keep it.
I found a picture of it, small but you can get the idea
LOL-I forgot, it didnt have the ship- just water
