What do you guys think about Cabins 8518 or 8522 forward. They seem low enough to not be obstructed by the pilot perch view that sticks out up on deck 12. Its really far forward obviously. Also considering 12714 back by the concierge lounge to be close to it. Two completely different locations. Just curious any ones thoughts.

The Concierge Lounge on the Ovation is amazing. It has full height glass windows that run the entire width of the ship. The only thing that stops it being perfect is the long walk down the corridor after a few drinks on the way to dinner.
Thanks. I was just looking at the deck plan for the concierge lounge. So its on Deck 12 at the very aft of the ship it looks like. The only way to get there is midship on deck 12 through all the cabins that line the hallway?? This seems like an odd place.

If you are diamond plus do you get access to the concierge lounge on Ovation during a Australian/ New Zealand cruise?
Thank you in advance.

I was on Jewel in September and do remember getting into port pretty early. We had a flight from Rome to Atlanta I believe around 12:30. Bypassed the 10:30 am flight as we did not want to risk it. Are you diamond or suite? Talk to those concierges (give them a tip) and they will get you off the boat as quick as they can.....7am would be a reasonable time to expect.
Remember...you are on vacation. Don't stress yourself out on times. If you are concerned go with later flights.

I want to thank everyone for your diligence in this matter of keeping the pressure on them. This is exactly why I frequent cruise critic!
Brilliance of the Seas June 9th Baltic. Diamond Plus cruise!

Well I just called club royale and this all is indeed true! I gave every reason why it was not right and they do not give a damn. Period.
I asked about taking the cruise fare off to get the double points and it would drive my rate up $2500 so I of course said no. But news flash.......though I thank you for the discounted fare which i earned I won't be gambling on the cruise so I give the big "FU" to RC. You probably lost 3-5k right there. Ill be taking a few more cruises on your dime too but i'm done being loyal. Celebrity here i come.

Anyone hear anything about this "high level meeting" today? I too have a junior suite booked for 12 nights first week of june which would have put me into Diamond Plus with double points. The only reason I have stuck with RC. This may be exactly the think I need to at least take these benefits to Celebrity for the time being.

Ah great. After doing my research we are going to rent a bike in the town of Skagen and bike out to Grenen and then go to the sanded church. Have you been here? I expect the answer is yes. Can you recommend any can't miss restaurants for a seafood lunch? Any other advice?
Thank you

Danish Viking are you still around?!

Thank you. Would you say the 10-15 minute walk from the train station to the Movenpick Hotel, which is essentially at the cruise terminal, is a safe walk? It sounds like taking the train into amsterdam is just as convenient as taking a cab and much cheaper as well.

Hey Ine,
Thank you in advance for your advice. Can you recommend a good car service to get from the airport to the mövenpick hotel at the port and in return is it easy enough to catch the train from the cruise port back to the airport on a thursday morning in June? Maybe a cab or uber is easier to get back to the airport?
Thank you

What edition did you purchase? Year? Apparently there is a new one coming out in April and I am deciding which one to get.

La Mission restaurant has always been where I go. Its down town off the beaten path. Close to Diamonds international and the water fountain.

Can anyone tell me what the TV/sports bar situation is on Freedom. Need to watch the Georgia vs OU football game on January the 1st. It should be on ABC.
Thanks

Hey cruise critic peeps!
Anyone know if the college football playoffs. Georgia vs OU game (ABC) will likely be played on Freedom of the seas on January the 1st.
Thanks for any insight

Thanks Kathy. You are so right. Who needs the stress of worrying right?! I lean towards that 1pm flight because of your recommendation.
I will actually be staying at the Sofitel at Heathrow so though the train would be great......just easier to fly.

Hey guys,
Just looking for some recent experiences with debarkation in Amsterdam. Docks at 6am. Probably off boat with self express 6:30-7am. Looking to make a flight out of Schiphol around 10am to London. Reasonable? Next flight would be at 1pm.
Thanks

Has anyone had any experience with these private tour companies taking the high speed train to Moscow and back for the day. What was the itinerary like?
Thanks

Looks like you guys had a great first leg of your vacation. I have never done a back to back cruise. Had to switch rooms huh? Did you tour around Civitavecchia at all

It's a great price for those who would have drinks all night for example partying after the lounge hours or during the day on a sea day at pool deck. I've bought each time before on prev cruises when available but not this time. The service from Ravi in the CL second to none on any CL... He had drinks waiting for us and would replenish even before we were finished the first drink. Truth be told one night we missed the magician headliner (luckily for us as we were told It was awful) and sat in the outer court of the CL with drinks so didn't need any after that. Last night we cancelled MTD all together and stayed In the CL eating apples and veggies (we were too full from out excursion) until 8pm music trivia so again no need for the card. Today sea day we can use our D+ BOGO and so forth if needed. We still have a bottle of wine in our room to pour a glass also.
Btw, both my gf and I walked in together at embarkation with 2 bottles of wine each... We walked in directly next to each other, through the the same scanner and guards... They didn't say a thing. So we could've had a 4 bottles this cruise, get off at Civitavecchia, and prob bring back another 4 bottles.

Thats what I'm thinking. Except for the 2 sea days most time is gonna be spent in port and then getting back. Going to CL for drinks until dinner at 8:30 and then bed. We are still diamond so I don't think we have that BOGO free offer yet. Good to know about the wine. We will get two bottles pre cruise in Rome for sure.
Watching this Hurricane Irma stirring out in the Atlantic!

You mentioned the drink card. Being D+ did you purchase it or have you just drank around the hours of the diamond lounge?
$85 for 10 doesn't seem to bad.

Yes you are correct. Sicily/ Mykonos/Santorini/Rhodes/Athens/Naples.
I love how your cruise is essentially backing right up to mine. You get off and I get on....the 10th. Your cruise makes it ever so closer. Looking forward to your review. I will be staying at the Albergo del Senato right next to the Pantheon for 3 days prior to the cruise.
I wasnt going to do the Borghese and opt for a tour of the travestere area but perhaps I will reconsider that.
I hope you have a great cruise!

The supposed cheapest day of the week. Not sure I can wait to cyber monday to book airfare on this one.
