  1. We ate

    1. Saturday...Murano...love the table...got there right at 6pm and romantic table in corner near window. The cheese course between dinner and dessert was yummy...but so was everything else.

    2. Sunday...Tuscan...what a beautiful restaurant...the walkway into was so nice...sat in back corner at window...service amazing...we ate calamari, goat cheese salad, onion soup, filet, and pistachio brûlée...everything was amazing. Loved the antipasti in the beginning. Service awesome. Wine stays full.

    3. Monday...biked all afternoon into evening in PR so we grabbed margaritas and appetizers right next to the docks at a great place called Tijuianas.

    4. Tuesday...Qsine...hubby loved it...I loved what I could eat, but I was sick to my stomach (too many martinis). But really fun

    5. Wednesday...Tuscan again...LOVED it...had lasagna this time and it was great

    6. Thursday...main dining...wow wow wow...lobster tail was best I have ever had. The scallop appetizer was so good. Wine was kept full the whole dinner

    7. Friday...Lawn Club Grill...what a great idea, but it was freezing...FREEZING. We were covered in blankets and heat lamps were on. People would come and cancel reservation and leave. But flatbread was good, steaks were good, and the carrot cake and warm chocolate chip cookie were to die for desserts. Look forward to trying the next year (early in the trip)

  3. Thanks for the updates! We will be on her in two weeks. :)

    A quick question..

Uber...do you call ahead? Will they be there waiting for you to leave the ship? Thanx!

We used SAS and booked ahead of time on website, pd after drop off ($15 pp each way), great

  4. Is it a full ship?

The ship was full, busy, and fun

We are flying into FLL for our April TA cruise out of Miami. What shuttle service did you prebook with to get to the Miami port? also, have you ever just taken a taxi from the airport at FLL to the Miami port. Any information you can give me is appreciated as this is our first time flying into FLL leaving from Miami port. Thanks, Shirley

We traveled in to FLL and it was faster than into Miami. just about 35-40 minutes in the shuttle.

Line looked long when we started to board, but less than 15 minutes from dropping bags with porter until boarding.

Question about Hideaway...NO noise at all. Hubby loved it first thing every morning.

    Any more questions?

I have not one bad thing to say...

    1. Food was best of 15 cruises

    2. Decor was beyond best of 15 cruises

    3. Loved our room and location

    4. so much live music around the boat at night...lots of dancing in main foyer...lively crowd

  5. Great cruise so far. Cabin is spacious and quiet. Boat is beautiful. Love the decor. Ate murano saturday nif

ght. The food and service were awesome. Tuscan last night. Loved every course and the atmosphere. Martini bar has been hopping both nights with dancing and dj from 10 to 1 am. Tons of people dancing. Off for our bike ride in San juan. Cheers.

  6. Landed in fll about 30 minutes early. Boarded shuttle around 1130. At port at 1210 dropped at curb. Boarded boat with champagne in hand at 1224. Awesome process. Immediately booked specialty dining for the week. Lunch at buffet. And margarita at sunset bar. Room ready at 1 pm. Love room. Decor and bathroom are great. We are in a regular balcony on the hump floor 7. Ships decor is modern. Loving it so far. I will check in again Monday when in PR. Luggage just arrived at 245

  7. If you are talking about the solarium adults-only pool than no kids under 16 are not allowed and please adhere to that and be kind to us that our escaping the noise and chaos of children (I love them, I do, but that is why I don't go to the main pool)

With that said, maybe on the Alaska cruises there is dedicated family swim time because the main pool is too cold. Whatever the posted rules are please follow them.

this is not a grumpy post...it isn't..... we traveled with our teenager daughter on cruises for a decade (she is now in mid-20's). We chose Carnival and Royal because they cater to families and kids also NCL does too.

  8. Love that everyone is saying keep the "fun-park at sea" away! AGREE

    1. Love the idea of an ironing room

    2. Dance area starting earlier

    3. Love the idea someone had of a casino/lounge/dance club combo

    4. Promenade deck that goes all the way around!

    5. steel drums playing daily

    6. comedy club for adults

    7. Margarita bar or lounge with chips salsa and tapas

  9. For the Aft Penthouse Suite HAVEN we paid $5,029 ( total 2 people) for the 7 days Eastern Caribbean. I think NCL has some great prices. We booked 9 months out and received $300 OBC. You have to try, watch the prices.

    Still LOVE my Celebrity too.

That sounds about right...we paid about 1800 total for just a balcony so that is significantly higher. We gamble and drink so we spend a ton on board (switched to Celebrity for the included drink package)

We also travel on big vacations 3-4 times a year. Thinking of missing a few trips to try a suite, but can't make the leap.

  10. Going Aqua class, deck 9 right across from the mid ship elevator, next year on the Summit!

WE were on summit last year in Aqua. It was our first Celebrity cruise. We felt it was worth every dime. We loved Blu, service was above and beyond, highlight of the week. I love steam rooms and I hated the straight up and down seats in the steam rooms. The sauna seats were comfy. We only went to the Persian gardens twice.

    1. Is Aqua class worth the money over Concierge? Why/Why not?

It was only $150 more a person, so we thought yes for sure.

    2. What makes Aqua class better for the money than a regular balcony?

    3. Has anyone had any poor experiences with Blu and would have rather eaten in the MDR?

LOVED BLU, service awesome, food and atmosphere awesome

    4. What is the Persian Garden? Does it have any windows?

NO windows, some seats comfy some not...steam room not, sauna yes, okay...was a disappointment for me (I LOVE SPAS)

    5. Where is Blue? Persian Garden? Relaxation Room?

hmmmm can't remember, check the boat layout on line. feels like Blue was back and Persian was very front near top. We had an aft balcony aqua room

    6. Is the buffet area really cramped on embarkation day?

    didn't seem it

    7. Is the Bistro on 5 my best bet when dealing with 8 people (2 almost 80-year old fussy parents) on embarkation day for lunch?

    never went there, always dead

    8. Does Aqua class get the bottle of champagne on embarkation or is it the level above this?

It was a bottle of sparkling wine and it was in our cabin when we got to it. Also there were 3-4 bottles of cold water and a bucket of ice every day or several times a day

    9. Are the CelebrityLife (is that the name?) activities free? If not, does anyone have a sample listing of the activities and fees for them?

we don't do a ton of activities, we read, go to bars, casino, so I can't speak to this

    10. Any tips and tricks you could give me to make this a great family reunion would be great. I've been on many many cruises before but never on Celebrity.

Celebrity is our favorite, loved the drink package and not having to sign for a single beverage. We loved Blue. We are not aqua on our cruise this year (leaving Saturday) because it was almost 500 more a person. We did by the dining package though because we are not big on main dining. We sailed 3 times on NCL the preceding years and never ate in main dining...last time we ate main dining was Carnival about 5 years ago.

  11. I am not 100% sure, but we bought the 5-night specialty package...we booked 6:45 on night one and the sales agent told me when I get on board I could pick which restaurants I want to go to which nights and times. After I have a drink in my hand on Saturday (YES>>>THIS AMAZING SATURDAY), I plan to hit the reservation desk up.

I will let you know when I return or maybe I will answer before we set sail on Saturday.

  12. So I never buy photos...ever...but I want to...just hate paying so much for them.

but I just got the bon voyage email with an offer for $225 for all pictures from week printed and digital.

IS this true? Every picture...? all sizes?

I sail Saturday so I have to purchase by tomorrow.

    Any details much appreciated

  13. I agree keep the party music by the pool...I love to find a quiet spot (and there are so many around the ship) to relax, enjoy the sun, a book, conversation, and a drink. Then we walk by the pool to see a little action from time to time (never settle in there)

  14. I have read that there is no club (this is only my second cruise on Celebrity and there was no club on the Summit last year either), but there was dancing in the lounge up on one of the top floors every night with a DJ and it was so much fun.

Can anyone speak to this on the Reflection? Is there DJ, dancing and music later in the evening?

We usually hit the martini bar, casino, game show, and then dance (we are empty nesters so enjoy Celebrity and its not overly kid-friendly atmosphere...I love kids, can't wait to take my two beautiful grand babies on a cruise but they are 1 week old and 16 months...so it will be 5 or 6 years and I will go on Disney or NCL or Carnival or Royal)

  15. We bought the 5-night dining package for our cruise coming up in a week about 2 months ago. It was about $125 per person. We are booked in Tuscan night one and then we pick the nights we go to Lawn Club, Qsine, and Murano. Then we decide which one we want to repeat.

Hoping they will let us purchase one more night for a discount once on board.

We don't plan to eat on the San Juan night because we want to eat in San Juan.

  16. I was told when on the Eclipse last month that buying a three or five dinner package was cheaper before the cruise. I went online and found the packages and the prices were indeed cheaper than we paid onboard. But there is no explanation. It seems that you have to use one the first night. That would be allright, but I don't want to be assigned to QSine, as we are hoping to meet new friends who would be interested in joining us there, as it is better with more than two. I assume the three dinner package also includes one night in the Tuscan Grille and one night in Murano, but it does not say. Also, do we get to pick the repeaters if we go with the five dinner package. Has anyone done this and can offer advice? Thanks!:)

WE are booked for the 5-night package for our cruise in a week. When I booked (I called) the guy said they assign you to Tuscan the first night (which shows now on my reservation). The you arrange the other nights and you get to pick where you will repeat. Hoping to that we can book one more night at a discount as we don't want to eat in main dining at all.

  17. We took the drink package with the 1, 2, 3 last year and first thing we did when boarding was upgrade for about $150 total for the week for both of us...dirt cheap.

We drank anything, top shelf, any wine, no one ever stopped us.

We leave for our cruise in a week. We upgraded to the premium package 2 months ago on line...would not hesitate...so relaxing...for such a cheap price.

  18. LOL!!! I love this answer. Me too!! And when I die, I would like my ashes to carry on sailing in an urn (in a suite please with a nice aft view) :D:D:D

I agree love that answer, but....

    1. If it became too kid friendly....I love kids, but need a break sometimes (I would have thought different 7-8 years ago when daughter was still traveling with us).

    2. Nothing else...we don't need much

but we love the drink package and dining packages

  19. The 1st year the Reflection sailed we watched a couple with the premium package order the Martini flight, after making sure it was included in the package, and then leave, never even left a tip.

My wife and our new friends drank maybe 2 of them.

    Pretty sad.

Aren't the tips included in the package price?

Tips are included with the drink package. But with that said...if we got a flight I would leave extra. We tipped the martini guys extra on the last night. We were at martini bar a 4pm every day...love it. Our cruise leaves in two weeks (from today) and we already upgraded to premium...seriously best bargain going...love not having to sign anything

  20. We are on Reflection in 2.5 weeks, stopping in San Juan at 3:30. We have been so many times (and love SJ). But we bought the 5-night dinner package and have premium beverage package so we don't want to spend too much money on food/drink ashore. We love walking around Old San Juan. But last minute decided to book a tour...we are doing the bike ride...hoping it makes up for the eating and drinking we will be doing.

I did look into the food/drink walking tour and it didn't run on Mondays. Didn't find the second company, we might have done that too, but the bike ride will be good for us...even if we finish last.
