There was a comment on the roll call that there might be several people with negative reviews for the tour company.

Still looking for past cruisers that have gotten off the ship for the Dubai NYE fireworks. Anyone use the metro?

I know it will be crowded just want to know if it’s do able.  Is there a spot near the pier to walk or cab to that would be a good vantage spot?

They were pouring pretty good champagne in the atrium till at least 1:30 when I went to bed. We were dressed pretty casually.

I’m thinking about going to the Burji Al Arab Jumeirah fireworks instead.

Does anyone know how much trouble it would be to get to an advantage point to watch this?

Also for the other firework locations, do you think they are easier to get to from the port?

Hoping to hear from cruisers that actually tried to go downtown to see fireworks. How much of a hassle is it?

My understanding was that the BK laser show last year was a special one that was for the Year of Zayad. Also they broke a Guinness world record. They also repeated it till January 6 at 8 and 10pm

I think last year the Burj K. did a special laser show.

Maybe that was why you could not hear the booming sounds.

Been on Holland America for NYE and found a glass or two.

Need info on NYE Dubai fireworks.

I’ve looked at past roll calls and have read what people have planned, but what worked? What didn’t?

Is the traffic insane? Can I use the metro? Should I go to a hotel party? But how do I get back?

Dhow cruise TripAdvisor reviews (2013-2015) are pretty bad. Would it be simpler to book a hotel room and stay overnight near the Burj. The hotels are filling up and I need to make a decision soon.
