it's going to take a some time for him to sober up. i have faith he will finish this report.:D:D:D:D
He probably forgot he even started it!

I have seen some responses on that question, just trying to help you find them. :o
I appreciate the help, sometimes posts, like email can come across dry or sterile. My tone was loving though...:p
I have been around here for years, more recently due to the upcoming cruise, although do not post a lot. I have seen many posts in regards to the question, just nothing real concrete, figured I'd try again!

Hi Kelly,
We will be on the same Regal sailing. :D
I guess we are all on the same sailing...guess we will all find out together!
-
A search found lots of threads on the package........
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2136953&highlight=all+inclusive
I agree, I read a lot of them and the rumor was the card was good for ice cream and fresh squeezed OJ. It is not plainly stated on the Princess Website and I was reaching out to any recent Regal passengers that can report back to confirm.
-
I have heard rumors that the beverage package includes Gelatto and crapes. It doesn't specify on the websites description, but I also hear it is good for fresh squeezed OJ and that's not on there either. I guess I am looking for some real world recent feedback from the Regal passengers that have had the package, is the ice cream included? not that that is a deal breaker:)

I was interested in seeing how the OP all-inclusive beverage package balanced out over his 18 day Brazilian cruise. I hope Cruiselover1951 liver is still in good working order!! :p Looking forward in hearing his summary :)
I don't know, that cruise was over 5 days ago...don't think he made it...

I am sure you will find your way through the red tape of traveling in 2015. Kudos to you for spending time with your grandchildren and giving them the memories to keep long into the future. good for you!!!

So funny, to see if you travel well together. We did this 12 years ago on the Grand Princess. Come to find out we traveled very well together. Married 9 years now with two sharp kids 6 and 5. it all started where you guys are now. Got engaged on a ship too. Hope you guys had a great time!!!
-
That is pretty cool, nice to see the sisters together! I bet it is a horn blast fest on the way out of port!
-
It may be common knowledge, but I was checking out the bridge cams and both the royal and the regal are in port everglades. If you look at the royals bridge cam it looks like it is pointing at the Regal. I have never seen the ships, but can anyone confirm that is the regal? the image quality is so so.

We have a promotional $750 onboard credit for our forthcoming cruise. Can we use that to purchase a drinks package?
Also, without wanting to appear to be a real tight wad, what happens if I buy a package for myself, and not one for my wife. How do Princess ensure that the drinks I get on the package are consumed by me and not by my wife?
I was reading that if you are in the same cabin, you both have to purchase the package. Further more if you have children older then 6 in your cabin you have to get them the soda package. I understand the adult requirement, but the kids one seems pretty petty.
We actually booked two cabins, one adult, one child in each. I am thinking about getting the drink package for my room, mostly for the 40% off wine seeing how they for some reason don't have a wine package. I am thinking because we are booked in different rooms I may be able to get away with the one package...we will see!

I heard there is a silver or gold package for wine, but it is only for sailing of 10 nights or longer? Anyone have any guidance or information. The girl I talked to at Princess had no idea one existed and as she dug more she discovered them but was pretty shaky with the information, I am going to my "call a friend" card and reaching out to the community.

We didn't find that the service level suffered at all. You will still have to sign a receipt for your drinks. The drinks are the same as if you are paying for them.
You can also get bottled water, cans of soda, specialty coffees and teas and gelato.
Thank you! gelato too! awesome. Any idea on if it is good for Princess Cays?
-
I understand it is a business model. I just was hoping to get some feedback from people that may have used the package to see if the service level is constant, the drinks are equal to individual purchases and if it is just more convenient. Also in the realm of non-alcoholic does it include shakes, I understand it includes specialty coffee and tea.
-
The obvious question is, will I drink enough to justify the cost? Assuming this will be the case what are the other benefits or problems with the drink package? Does your service level suffer, avoiding you once they find out you have the package. We are doing a cabana on princess cay, would like the package for that alone. I understand the process is more streamlined and you don't have to keep signing receipts, is that true? Are the drinks more watered down? Does anyone have a current drink price menu?

Thank you! I logged in and did it. sure was easy.

Is it possible to reserve one before getting on the ship?
-
There better not be a problem with that ship as I will be in it in 34 days! And I am only on that ship because my wonder cruise got canceled for her unscheduled drydock! But I am sure everything is fine as after I saw this post last night I looked her up and she was sailing at 18 knots and was ahead of the Carnival Dream! Can't wait till our Jan 25th Fantasy cruise!
Can you send me the link to check on the ship? Thank you!

Perfect! We are wine-o's anyway.. I try to get a couple of bottles for guests and holidays but love our wine, which is difficult to carry. I will bring a one night supply and stock up in Nassau. Not a whole lot to do there anyway! Thank you again!
-
Excellent, thank you for the advice! By chance do they have a wine store in Nassau, by the port? Are there rules on wine?
-
Thank you Big Al. I know children are not welcome in the fine dining, but I must tell you my 3 year old has quite the palate. Never seen a little one love raw oysters as much as she does. Lobster, Crab, Tuna Sushi, all qualifies as "Mermaid Food." Looking forward to the trip, thank you for taking time to post a review!
-
Excellent review. We do have little ones and wanted to do Palo as a couple. I understand there is a charge for dinner is 25 a head + tip. You never mentioned the charge for brunch.
-
I understand DCL has a bring what you can carry policy for booze upon embarkation. My question is does this apply for ports too? I was thinking it would be both easier and less expensive to hit the first cruise port to stock up for the rest of the trip. Any advice?

I see lots of advice for you here, but here is my story... My wife is like Batman when it comes to surprises.. We got engaged on the legend Seven years ago. I used a condom wrapper and placed it with other condoms in the side pocket of my bathroom bag in my CARRY on luggage. I was actually more concerned with my wife finding it then security. I pulled it off handsomely. No one was the wiser until I pulled the trigger. Seven years later we just took our two children on the legend over the 4th of July. Hope you have a great time, good luck to you!
Is Celebrity the right cruise for kids?

Not sure about teens and older kids, but my kids love Celebrity. They are 7 and 5 and have been on Disney, RCCL, Carnival, Princess and Celebrity, they'll tell you celebrity is their favorite. Agreed there are more gimmicks, slides, rock wall type items on other lines, but they are a minority on the ship and everyone really caters to them, they love the special attention.
