In order to get into the E social hour, I believe your companion's sea pass would have to be marked E+, same as yours would be. If the card is marked E+, then premium coffees would be free. No?

Still too early for me to judge. She has grown the bottom line with cutbacks and higher prices.
At the same time some outstanding Senior staff have returned to Celebrity in very large part as a vote of confidence in her. Loyalty has become less important, but advanced bookings are strong.
Love her if you are an investor. Not love her if you are a loyal cruiser. Depends where you are. The jury is still out for me.
I believe there has been an effort on her part to report to the stockholders at year end that advanced bookings are up. She's accomplishing this by having promotions that offer reduced deposits such as the $25 deposit offer, which inflates and distorts the numbers.
And Charles, would you continue to sail only with X if you did not receive your Zenith perks?

Celebrity Cruises offers modern luxury service to all of our guests........... All guests can take advantage of outstanding perks like a classic beverage package, through our goBig! goBetter! goBest! offer on select sailings.
If I'm paying extra for something, how can you call it a perk????

We have 6035 and 6033 on a upcoming cruise.
Are the partitions between the balconies able to be opened?

Should I be concerned about booking a Caribbean cruise which will be the first voyage after the ship returns from a TA?
Will the ship have a major turnover in staff and if so could this create some problems for us? Also, is the staff burned out or re-energized after a repo?
I'd like to hear from those of you who have taken the first cruise after the ship has returned from a TA and hear about what you encountered. Even better would be to hear from those of you that have done B2B with the repo voyage first.

Does Celebrity offer sign up/referral bonuses? I believe when we were referred on princess we got an OBC as did the person who did the referring.
And if they did....it would not be combinable ;)

Not sure whether the Elite + can be applied after the 20% onboard or not . But if it can the overall discount is only 32%:cool:
I'm aware of how to do the math, but chose to state it the way I did as to not have many scratch their heads.:confused:
Again, it's not the math that I'm interested in but the principle of how and if the discount would be applied.

Can someone please answer this question.
Since Elite Plus gets a 15% discount on specialty dining is that applied only if one pays full price or if there's a 20% discount onboard, does the diner in effect get a 35% discount?
Just spoke to a rookie at captains club who wasn't even aware that there are discounts available onboard the ship. Figured I'd get the correct response here rather than calling back.

We had purchased the 5 night specialty dining package for our cruise prior to our sailing. I believe the price was $150/person. We were assigned a restaurant to dine in for the first night and we selected the time. Fine so far. Until we boarded the ship.
We were super early, and probably were on board before 11AM. As soon as we boarded we were greeted by the specialty restaurant sales force. Or should I say attacked? I mentioned that I had pre purchased my package and needed to make the other 4 reservations. No problem I'm told. Sure no problem if you wish to eat at 6PM or 9:30PM, because everything in between was booked. I asked to speak with the specialty restaurant manager, who after banging heads with him for half an hour finally extracted 2 other evenings at times between 7:30 and 8:30, with the other 2 evenings on a wait list. I called him every morning and every evening to see if there were any cancellations. Bottom line was we ate at 6:30 one night and 9 the other night.
So if you wish to book any specialty restaurant package in advance....beware.
The aggravation just isn't worth the few $$$ saved.

And would you know the formal night schedule for a 6 night cruise, since a 6 night cruise is not something Celebrity has very often.

Thinking of switching from c3 concierge to sv cabin. Would appreciate any info on or opinion on the sv cabins. Pros and cons.
M class ships do not have a SV category as SV category is specific to S class ships.
The aft cabins on M class ships are either C1, AQ, Family Verandah or Suites.
You'd be able to switch into one of those cats if you wanted an aft cabin.
We personally love aft cabins, and on M class ships the verandahs are huge.
Go for it.

On the Constellation recently, we enjoyed Catena Malbec on the premium package. I've seen it in retail stores selling for as much as $20/bottle

Oct 23 (Reuters) - Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd(RCL), the world's second-largest cruise operator, reported a 34 percent jump in quarterly profit as bookings rose for its Asia and Europe cruises.
The company's net income rose to $490.2 million, or $2.19 per share, in the third quarter ended Sept. 30 from $365.7 million, or $1.65 per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 3.3 percent to $2.39 billion.
Guess their major cutbacks has enabled them to really $core big earnings.

I've never heard of him.
I did a search and according to wiki, and FT (which is British), he's English: http://ftalphaville.ft.com/2009/09/17/72501/cnbc-casts-an-englishman/
Looking at him, he also has British features.
Can't see any reason to think he's Australian.
Simon is from the UK.
Mandy is 100% Australian:)

With all of these IT issues with the website, how we can be certain that the price shown is in fact correct? I know that in the past, placing a call to a CVP got me OBC that was never mentioned on the website, and of course cat upgrade based on status, but has anyone ever found the price on the website to be wrong?
