    I absolutely agree.

Whether they will do the honourable thing and resign is questionable.

When have the Heads of Cruise Companies ever done the Honourable thing they are only interested in the bottom line🤑.

I’d rather my money in my pocket nobody knows when this is going to be sorted if things aren’t starting to move by the end of the year I would have serious doubts as to the future of the industry as a whole. If/when they get going nobody has any idea what restrictions will be in place so I would be thinking that some of the people who are saying now that they would cruise no matter what restrictions are going to be in place see what is actually in place they’ll be having second thoughts it certainly won’t appeal to us some of the things being suggested. If the new normal appeals to us we’ll give it a go we’ve already 4 booked for next year so we’d have struggled to use FCC anyway. After the refund debacle I’ve lost all trust in P&O for the time being like a lot of people have and having been messed about before by them when they sold Adonia and Oriana I’d rather they had as little of my money as possible

We have the same idea as you, have the money in our bank, Then WE can choose when and where we want to Cruise and with whatever Company has the Itinerary and Deal we want, Whenever that may be.

  3. Success Cheque arrived Yesterday around 2-30pm in Bank by 3-15pm, only took 75 days.  Now have to decide if and when we will cruise with P&O again, guess we will wait and check out late deals before making our minds up, hope all those still waiting get there Cheque soon.

I hope you get good news soon.

I had to ask P&O to escalate our refund at day 59 and got it day 66.

Royals CWC and lift and shift gives their passengers more flexibility to rearrange cruises and why more have taken FCC.

Hopefully cruising starts before the year end or I fear for some cruiselines staying afloat.

I think the Refund fiasco is being driven by keeping cash flow in the business of all the cruiselines.

Thanks for the good luck post, we asked for it to be escalated 2-3 weeks ago but it does not seem to have help, however there are worse things going on in the World so if this is the only thing we have to complain about I guess we are some of the Lucky Ones.

I agree with you on the cash flow point and as you say hopefully like their Ships they Stay Afloat, we moved a Sept Cruise to October hoping there may be a better chance of Cruising then, maybe we will get a better Picture soon.

  5. Well done to all who have received Refunds, not before time though, no company should be hanging on to passengers money the way the Cruise Lines are it is disgraceful.

I rang Monday last week, spoke to someone who then contacted someone else and was then told we would have our Refund by Friday, Day 73(yesterday) still no Refund, rang them again still awaiting an answer.

We are RCL Regulars but because they do not sail in Europe in the Winter months we were going to move to P&O, however because of this Farce we may not Cruise again, as we have no confidence in any of the Cruise lines to do the right thing when it comes to Refunds.

Tom, I make that 53 days from the time you asked for a refund, which is when the clock starts ticking.

That is correct just checking that everyone was awake😉, we did ring last week and received a call back, usual explanation and excuses so asked for it to be escalated and received an email yesterday with apologies but nothing other than excuses, will give it a few Days then maybe follow up, thanks for the help though.

Our TA took our money but we purchased prepaid flight seats on P&O cruise personeliser with our credit card and P&O refunded this back to our credit card on 18-3-20 so they had our cc details.

Strange they originally said cheque then wanted bank details for Bacs.

Thanks all for the replies, our cruise was Azura 19th April, which was cancelled by P&O, so requested a Refund which was done by TA on 3rd April, so who knows how long it will take for Refund to come through, 64 days and counting.

  8. Now that the email thing is sorted(thanks Sharon), would it be possible for those who are Successful in getting Refunds to post the Date of the Cruise the Refund is for, may give us hope or despair, depending on when our cruise was, Thank you in anticipation.

Ah, I see. You managed to get within that very narrow window when they said you could cancel if you had a pre existing condition, which they withdrew very soon after. Thought that was longer than 3 weeks ago, but time is dragging at the moment! We were too slow on that one! Thanks for clarifying.

Thought I had missed out also, however a Full refund came through so no problem.

I’m confused. Your Iona Cruise was only cancelled this morning and there was no option to get a cash refund prior to today, just FCC. Perhaps I am misunderstanding?

Cancelled the Iona Cruise due to Medical reasons ie leukaemia with weakened Immune System, was expecting FCC but I'm not complaining.

The numbers on here are indeed very small but the total outrage and vast numbers commenting on the lack of refunds on other larger media sites makes it clear that anyone who has received their refund so far is among the very lucky few.

People have also been asking what date they are up to with refunds and there is just silence. If they are working through refunds, all be it slowly if staffing is the issue, then surely they can tell those asking how far they have got so far. I think this kind of information would reassure people that they will get their money, eventually. In the vacuum of information people will make all sorts of other assumptions.

They have communication staff on hand to add unnecessary posts like recipes, their time would be better used reporting on refunds etc. We have refunded up to x date or we will be refunding y cruise next week.

We had 2 cruises booked 1 on Azura 19th April and Iona 4th July, Azura was cancelled and we cancelled Iona 3weeks ago,  recieved both Refunds into my account last week.

Again I agree entirely. We also travel with RCI and Celebrity and they seem to manage (and get everyone onboard quicker as well)

Have to agree with you, we sail mostly with RCl and fine that most of the Luggage is there by 0830, we nearly always carry our cases off so that will not be a problem this time, thanks for all the constructive comments and the Information about the Disembarkation form, did not know about that we will watch out for it.

  13. Hi could anyone give us some information on what the Times are for Getting off in Southampton and whether P&O Stick to the stated time on your Cruise Documents,

Reason being cruise docs state Disembarkation 9-11 but we have a booking on a 0915 Train, can you get off earlier if you take your own Luggage thanks.

Our vote also goes to Motion-Eaze, used it many times and also shared it out to other Passengers who were suffering, worked very well in 98% of uses, no Side Effects no Drowsiness or Sleepy ness, means you can still enjoy the odd drink! or three.

Just rub it behing your ears and off you go.
